Yantic Falls — Attraction in Norwich

Today Monday 12-21-20 a few days after the nor'Easter I visited the falls. The parking lot is closed so I parked on the street. The falls were flowing full force but opposite the cascades the rocks were ice encrusted. Absolutely stunning. Since the hike down was foolish, I negotiated the bridge and the few trails looking down into the gorge. Taking it slow and carefully I managed to reach areas I set our for. It's well worth the 10 minutes walking to explore especially now that it's beginning...

So first, the Google directions are wrong, or perhaps what you search is wrong. Yantic Falls shows a person's driveway as the destination, but it is not a public parking area foe access to the falls. If you search Uncas Leap at Yantic Falls, you'll see a small parking lot for access to the falls. There is also another lot and area for the upper falls called Upper Falls Park which has access the another water fall and mill. Beautiful, a little tricky to walk, but woerh...
