Massively expansive park amidst the municipal buildings. The Eastern section is shaded and contains a pavilion with picnic tables and a few other scattered picnic tables, a modern amphitheater, a modern playground and plenty of squirrels for your dogs to chase.
The Western section is huge, open and sunny with crushed pea gravel walking paths, the international friendship bell and a few benches.
A great place to bring the kids or leashed dogs with lots of space to walk around or play.
The entire park is dissected by an anonymous creek with 2 foot bridges.

Read moreThis is a nice place to go for a walk, sit on a bench and read, or spread a blanket for a picnic. There are waterfountains, a playground, and two interesting memorials... The park has been plagued by two major construction projects for the past two years, making for a noisy experience, and disrupting walkers. The bridge between the two halves of that figure 8 on the west side is a tragedy waiting to happened. The park could use more benches and more shade along the walkway, which get very hot in summer. It would also be nice if there was easier pedestrian access to the Dunkin Doughnut and Starbucks, both nearby, but hard to access...

BTW, if you are unfamiliar with this young lady let me just say, she's the best mandolin player today. She's the real deal, she proved it with an impromptu intimate acoustic encore after her staged concert.
