I have been to both Pizza Inn locations with 25 miles of my house. 1-Star is the lowest I am allowed to rate this restaurant, Pizza Inn Oak Ridge does not deserved 1-Star, but people need to know my experience. The 1 in Oak Ridge, TN is the most disappointing. My Girlfriend and I were there on Saturday night. 1st, let me say that the Handicap/Wheelchair parking is not clearly marked. Once we entered the Restaurant, there is a sign right as get to the Hostess Station that says "you must pay up front" which is fine but 2 Adults and 2 Children with 2 non-waters & 2 waters was $50.00 and they wanted the Tip up front too. I said "how am I to predict how to tip for the level of Service up front?" I deferred to my Girlfriend, she picked the 20% option. Things became worse after that. Cindy, the cashier, asked if we wanted a Booth or a Table. I was outraged because I am in a Wheelchair. How exactly am I supposed to sit at a booth. My Girlfriend was not happy, in fact my Girlfriend and I both were offended. We found out much later, as we were leaving that there was a Wheelchair accessible booth. But Cindy did not say that at the time, which if she would have said that, the offense I took would never have happened. So, the 4 of us went to Buffet and got some spaghetti, pizza and sat down. We waited for our server to come to the table, but that never happened. There was no Server/Waitress or anything. So, thinking back, we just tipped for ZERO service. My Girlfriend asked the boys what they wanted to drink and she asked me too. I asked for Sweet Tea. My Girlfriend got a cup and put some ice in the cup but when she hit the nozzle for the Sweet Tea, there was none in it. She checked the other Tea container, there was none in it either. My Girlfriend was not happy at all. So, she started making the Tea at the Self Serve Drink Station. A guy walked by and asked her how her could help her. She explained and he took over making the Tea that was still not made before we left. My Girlfriend came back to the table with some food for her and began to eat. 1 of the Children wanted a Specialty pizza, I told him to let the Pizza Inn employee behind the bar know what he wanted. He asked the employee for a Pepperoni Stuffed Crust pizza and the employee acknowledged that he understood. We waited for 25 minutes, watching pizza after pizza come out but not the one he asked for. My Girlfriend went to the Bar to ask the employee when the Pizza would come. Now this is were we found out that the Employee does not even speak any English. My Girlfriend began to speak with the Employee in Spanish and now the Manager (I guess) got involved. My Girlfriend explained our entire experience at this Pizza Inn. My Girlfriend wanted the tip back for the lack of Service we received. The Manager said she could not refund the tip but said she refunded it all. We left Pizza Inn Oak Ridge, not satisfied with our Service and the initial insult that was not clarified until we were leaving. I am very un-happy and I would need a very good reason to...
Read moreFirst time visit...Waited in line with a few parties ahead of us to pay to eat... no real politeness to be found... no welcome or thanks for coming in today... just...how many?... we had 2 people.... when u pay it asks if you wanna tip? ... I had never been here before so I was like tip for? .... I then walked to the soda fountain and made our own drinks... which is fine by me... we then found a suitable table left our drinks ...tables were clean and plentiful and headed to the buffet....the buffet was well stocked with fresh pizzas ... it was clean and always had a person sorting consolidating pizzas as they came out... we never were greeted or even acknowledged at the station... every time we went to the buffet or soda fountain we got new plates or cups ...since we were uncertain of what kind of protocols they were using with the whole pandemic being a thing.... either way me and my son enjoyed our time together.... and stacked our plates at the end of the table.... nobody ever even walked by the table...finally about 5mins before we left a guy from the kitchen came out to collect our plates.. about 10 total... all this to say the pizza was ok.... but what service? When u literally are looking for tip ... am I missing something... Also they had an arcade.... only 2-3 out of 10 machines worked... and the change machine was out of change.... it just had the feel of a place that had given up and was ready to...
Read moreThis place is HORRIBLE. If I could give 0 stars I would. We had a 13th bday party scheduled for my son yesterday 3/6/21. This party was scheduled far in advance. We show up, along with every person invited, and the place is closed. They had handwritten notes on the doors stating they were closed due to inadequate staffing. NOT ONE PERSON EVER CALLED TO LET US KNOW THAT THEY NEEDED TO CANCEL OUR SON'S PARTY. My husband put in a call to the owner. No call back. My husband just happened to run into the owner on Monday 3/8 or we would have never been contacted. Really? He apologized several times and said he had called the manager and instructed them to call us. We NEVER received any call from anyone. The owner said he was under the impression that we had been called. He only offered an apology. While we appreciate that, he offered nothing to make it right. This was our son's 13th birthday party. We called the Pizza Inn on Clinton Hwy and they came through for us. GO THERE INSTEAD.They apologized to us over and over on behalf of the Oak Ridge location. The actions of the Oak Ridge location, or lack thereof, caused our entire day's plans to be pushed back and we almost missed an event we had scheduled in Knoxville. We will never be customers at the Oak Ridge location again. This was truly...
