My oh my!!!!! Words and pictures cannot begin to describe how absolutely breathtaking the view from Glacier Point Amphitheatre is. My now husband and I were fortunate and blessed to get married here. The place is perfect for small gatherings. There are built in bleachers with ample space. Permit cost was $150 and it's on a first come first serve basis. These have been by far the best $150 we have ever spent.

If you are thinking of applying for a permit just be aware that this is a public space. It is forbidden to block it off and no Ranger is on duty watching the amphitheatre. In our case people were very respectful during our wedding, no one interrupted, no one walked by and no one sat...

Stunning view, just the scale and enormity of the mountains, and the Yosemite valley is jaw dropping. I was in two minds, since the Glacier Point was an entirely different drive compared to the Yosemite Valley. But totally worth it, especially if you are there during sunset. Get there early, I'd say a couple hours before sunset. Parking can take over an...

I proposed to my Fiancé here, I got to fall in love in Yosemite and with the view from glacier point. The view from here makes the valley look so small, when you go down to it and look back up its hard to even see people standing up there. I used a super zoom camera on Nevada falls and even with that magnification people...

How could you not give this place 5 stars?! Lots of parking. A decent amount of restrooms. There’s a gift shop. It’s a short walk to the amphitheater to the right. To the left, it’s a short hike up a paved hill to glacier point itself. Glacier point will give you a full view of the valley floor.
