This rating is not to hurt this particular business. This rating is to notify that this business should not put stuff out on the counter and not be able to sell it to the customer upon request. I went in and shopped around purchase. Several different items I wanted in particular the milk chocolate coconut clusters. The ones in the back were not the same as the ones shown up on the front. I wanted to purchase 10 of those in the front of the display. I was told that these were not for sale and that they could only take the ones starting from the back but perhaps they would be for sale if I purchased all of them. LOL this is a joke! Not very good business for customers. I only purchased stuff from here as I support local business. The candy is a little pricey as I can shop at Walmart and purchase the same items for much cheaper. There are a few select items that cannot be purchased at the same location, but if you shop around, you can find pretty much everything in the same store here somewhere else for a lot cheaper. I am not stating that this store is pricey. I'm stating that it's ridiculous that you can't sell something that you have displayed on your display unless I purchase all of them! I've been coming here for the last year or two since this place has been open. And I have brought many individuals for business at this location. It's sad to see that they would turn down business for customers. Looking to purchase specific pieces of candy on display. In particular the chocolate counter! I understand you guys may need to rotate these chocolates, but I'm sure you can see the difference between the ones that were in the back and the ones that were up in the front. They were a different style, a different shape and I do not want those. I wanted the clusters that were a little more round and they were up in the front. I wasn't getting one or two. I was ordering 10! Anyway, maybe this policy...
Read moreJust left and how unfortunate to have to say the service was HORRIBLE. Great selection and all but the lady who checked us out. Treated us like she doesn't want our service. I would hate to have to say it had to do because we are hispanic but the people behind us received a warm and happy welcome as they checked out and yes they were not african American or Latino. We were attempting to check out and she blaintly ignored us. We put our items on the counter no hello not a word. Almost left everything we had and just walked out but didn't want to ruin the experience for the kids. Also while we were using the candy buffet a man who works there watched us the ENTIRE TIME. We live 5 minutes away and love to come here and the previous young ladies who worked here were amazing. This is why business close. You could spend all the money on billboards and cater to the tourist but on slow times guess who is still here to buy things the people who live here full time in Ocala hispanic or not when it comes to business you should put your...
Read moreI didn't think I was going to like this place when I saw it go up, but now I actually love it and can't imagine downtown Ocala without it. Nice big store so many fun selections to choose from. Old fashioned candy bags for kids to stuff full. It's like walking into the back page of mad Magazine with a ton of awesome candy. It's a literally an outing with my 10-year-old and Stella loves it so much she actually wants to have a candy shop one day because of this place. The staff is super fun and friendly I am in there once a week. The candy is good as most candy is but they also have a little chocolatier section to buy high end pieces of delicious pound adding fun. All ages actually this they cater to the kids but there are plenty of adult things in there that will make you laugh for sure. Looking to turn that frown upside down check them out it's worth it. I would park in the parking garage just a block away if you can't find parking in the front of their store. The parking garage is free two blocks west of the...
