✨ A restaurant surrounded by nature and located in a historic town near the waterfront. We sat outside, but the place also had indoor seating. We ordered the chipotle chicken sandwich ($15) and linguine rosa ($13). They were both delicious, but we thought the linguine rosa was more appetizing because it was creamy, flavorful, and cheesy. The parmesan on top really brought the dish together! We think this restaurant is worth of going if you are swinging by Ikea or potomac mill, so give it a try! ✨ We recommend their Linguine Rosa! ✨ 404 Mill St, Occoquan Historic District, VA 22125 ✨ If you want to see more cool Richmond and Northern Virginia restaurant and coffee place recommendations for food and dessert, follow our account and stay tuned! #rva #richmondva #foodie #novafoodies #rvafoodies #foryou #fyp #goodeats #cafe #pasta

A small building with a lot of history for Occuquan The Mill House Museum in Occoquan is located next to Riverside Park in a building at the West end of Mill Street Road. It is housed in a restored 1759 mill that is a one-room history treasure trove. Parking can be found down the street and many spots are free for 2 hours. This site offers a captivating glimpse into the rich history of this quaint Virginia town. The museum immerses visitors in the area's past through carefully curated exhibits and artifacts. From its origins as a milling community on the Occoquan River to its role in Virginia's industrial development, the museum showcases the evolution of Occoquan with insightful displays and artefacts. I was greeted by a very nice lady who was very knowledgeable about the town. The museum's collection includes period tools, photographs, and documents that vividly illustrate life in Occoquan across different eras. The ambiance is enhanced by the mill's original wooden beams and milling machinery, creating an authentic backdrop for learning. Entrance is free but donations are welcomed. There is a lot of information in the little building. If you are passionate about local history then this is definitely a must-see for you. Overall, whether you're a history enthusiast or simply curious about Occoquan's heritage, the Mill House Museum offers a memorable and educational experience that highlights the town's significance in Virginia's cultural landscape.

The Mill House Museum is a delightful and informative spot, perfect for history enthusiasts and anyone looking to learn more about the local area. The exhibits are well-curated and offer an in-depth look at the history of the region, especially the mill's role in the community. The staff is knowledgeable and eager to share interesting stories and facts. The museum is small but well worth a visit for a glimpse into the past. It's a peaceful place to explore and offers a great educational experience. Highly recommend checking it out!

A cute little history museum on a lovely street. While visiting the area with friends, we walked by a gentleman giving a demo of wheat-grinding to some interested children. He patiently went through the process of grinding the seeds into flour and gave each kid a little bag to take with them. Inside the museum were several photos and artifacts of the area from over 100 years ago. The museum was petite, but the website says more can be seen on request. Looking around was free, although donations accepted. If you're in the area, it is a nice little detour...
