Ector County Coliseum — Attraction in Odessa

I visited Ector County Coliseum this past weekend to attend Just between friends consignment event. The event was amazing. I bought 14 sets of children's clothes and over 7 large toys for under $100. The Coliseum was great! Excellent parking, easy access in every direction to get in and out with my vehicle and I felt safe. This is an older building but still in very good condition. I am impressed with the array of events they hold. Who ever does their planning and coordinating os very good. There are at least 2 events a month I seem to always want to go to. I never went to the Coliseum when I lived in dfw excapt once or twice a year so I am so impressed with the venues they keep scheduled. Though I prefer newer buildings that are more updated I did not mind or really notice the age or the outdated ambiance while I was here. This was the Permian Basin International Oil Show.

The cold overcast and wet conditions seemed to have thinned the crowd a little from 2 years ago, which gave more time to actually get more in-depth information from various vendors' booths, and of course collect a little more "trinkets and baubles".

They had great shuttle bus service between the venue and remote parking, which made the event far more pleasant to get in and out compared to prior shows where one might have to park a half mile away and hike in and back out.

Hopefully the oil boom won't go bust in the next couple of years so...

It was awesome! It was full of attractions for the entire family. If you want to enjoy the carnival rides buy the wristbands it's a better deal than just buying tickets. My kids enjoyed it, my wife and I enjoyed it. I chatted with some very friendly vendors and had some peach cobbler sample, very delicious.
