Lake Hefner — Attraction in Oklahoma City

Visited Lake Hefner on 8/2/25, and I must say, this is great place to go for a walk, bike ride, run, and walk your dogs! (Remember to clean up after your pets to keep the lake clean!)

The lake is huge! I rode my bike all the way around it. It's about 9.5 miles all the way around. I ended up riding 10.5 miles! Even though there can be quite a lot of people there, at any given time, it is a really peaceful lake to visit! Wonderful scenery and photo ops. There is even a really cool Lighthouse that I found out is a tourist attraction! After I completed my bike ride, I brought my dogs over and took them for a little walk!!

There are several restaurants on lake and really becomes a happening place to be at night on the weekends! I will definitely be returning to next weekend to try out Louie's and ride my bike around it some more!! Great experience and I would definitely recommend everyone...
