This magical place has lost some spark over the last few years. 2019 was our 3rd time going, we missed 2018 so not sure of that's when they moved again, but we loved this place so much that we were so excited to go again and share this experience with our 11 kid visitors from out of state. Unfortunately so much has changed that its lost a lot of his warm and inviting atmosphere. The computer letters were really disappointing because christmas is all about that letter to santa and the little kids were unable to engage in that activity at all. At least with letters they can write their name or scribble their cute little version of a note to the special man. I love that the santa hasn't changed but the scene was dark and the picture quality was a joke this season. The best part was by far mrs clause who was so warm, friendly and inviting. Unfortunately the only other staff that could be classified that way was the Santa workshop elves who also did Amazing. The kids all got a stuffed animal to keep this year that they 'made' with the elf. I do kind of miss how yall did it in previous years because it gave the kids a little taste of Christmas and sharing that magic with other kids by donating it. I think this was a way of cutting cost because they used to have a wooden toy you made with the elves and a stuffed animal you made for charity but this year was only the stuffed animal. I would honestly give 2 stars if it werent for the fact that I've been previous years and it was amazing those times. I'm not sure if my family will go back next year just because it wasnt as friendly as it used to be. It used to be my favorite thing about the season hitting. I loved the wood floors like we were walking into an actual village/workshop and loved the explanation of the reindeers, yall just got rid of too many of the amazing things you used to have. I've added 2 screenshots of pictures from 2016 to show what it used to be. Now it's just a maze in a warehouse with little to no elf involvement umlike...
Read moreYesterday my friends and I went to this location. There were a lot of low budget activities to do e.g. write a letter to Santa, color a sheet, and lay in and elf bed and some more memorable ones e.g. shoot at the Grinch, touch a reindeer, and make an ornament with markers. Not quit worth $20, but fun enough for a 3 year old. Mostly everyone was kind. The disappointment was Santa. He YELLED at my friends 3 yr old. When she wrote a review she was told her perception was askew, so I’m here to confirm and state for you to talk to the elf. He scared him. The family in front of us had an older who refused to take her picture with Santa. So the elf moved on and call the next person forward. Santa disappeared (I assume to go talk the girl into it I don’t know), but when he returned and saw the toddler in the gate by his chair he yelled statements such as, “Who is this?”, “Is this your kid?”, “Why is he in here?”, and, “Can you get him!” . We all looked shocked and his bulging eyes told you he was serious. As my friends son ran out crying the older girl walked in to take her picture. The poor elf was embarrassed and we were all just trying to figure it out. I think he thought a toddler was cutting the line. If you don’t want a toddler touching your chair don’t invite him in and don’t leave him unsupervised. That situation is all on Santa. He could have told the elf to wait s minute then charged to whatever he was doing, but she called him inside the gate. It would have taken less time to have taken the photo and asked my son to wait so he could get the older child than to show out like he did. It was unacceptable and not professional for the workplace. To say he had to raise his voice for people to hear… no ma’am. Besides the other family, we were the only people standing there (thankfully). Check your video or again,...
Read moreThis is our 4th year to come and we were glad that they were able to open up due to Covid this year. I knew some usual things wouldn't be available and I think they did a great job for still having a lot of their normal activities even if modified. Mrs. Claus and her cookies are my favorite part so I was happy they were able to have that still. Also I liked that the plexiglass in front of Santa was undetectable in the photo.
My only complaint this year is the reservation system was not like I expected. We reserved an 11 am time slot for Saturday and arrived at 11 sharp. However, there was already a line wrapped around the building to get inside and there was zero social distancing. We sat outside in the freezing cold for a long time, and once inside it was still quite a bit just to the ticket counter with everyone huddling up close and no space. By the time we got to the first station we had been there for 40 minutes. We waited probably another 15-20 minutes for the custom ornament (which was a nice touch that I hadn't seen before) but it was crazy to me just how busy it was when we were under the impression there were limited spots. I have never seen it that busy and we come on a Saturday morning every year. While the masks were supposed to be worn I noticed a couple of people who weren't wearing one and it wasn't being enforced. I think maybe if they had spread out the reservation system a bit, maybe in 20 minute increments that may have helped the crowds because when we left there wasn't a line at all so it seemed odd to sell so many tickets all at the same time.
Overall we had a good time and we'll be...
