A great venue but some communication issues. Our first consultations with the GM were exceptional and the general manager, Joe, was excellent and really strives for great customer service. We initially started working with Lauren but were then shifted to Megan. We were in the dome room. The room has just been redone this year and it looks amazing! It is absolutely beautiful and very classy without being overdone. The food is also delicious! All of our guests were raving about the quality of the food, the amount of food, and the amazing dessert room! Bartenders were friendly and Wanda, our captain for the night, was wonderful. She really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and also catered to our parents. The only thing about using the GM is that communication seemed to be an issue, so you need to stay on top of things with them and stay organized. Megan was great with communicating until the month before the wedding and then stopped promptly answering emails or calls. It was frustrating as this was the most stressful time and I wasn't receiving any communication back. She had also told us that table numbers were not provided, that we could pick up our gifts and decor the day after the wedding, and that a check would be issued to us on the day of the wedding with the balance (we had overpaid). On the day of the wedding, we had incorporated table numbers into our centerpieces. When I walked into the ballroom, there were printed table numbers in awful gold frames next to our centerpieces. They didn't match our decor at all. When I told the maitre-d, Austin, I wanted them removed, they were promptly removed. However, they still got in our photographers photos. At the end of the wedding, Austin started collecting all of our items for us. We were told leaving them until the next day was not an option. The valet was all backed-up as well due to a sweet 16. Our shuttle bus was unable to pick us up for about 15 minutes due to the disorganization of the valet. Guests began to get frustrated. After the wedding I realized we had never received the check. It took multiple phone calls to Megan and Joe before and after our honeymoon before the check was finally mailed out. It was mailed out to my parents’ house but had my name on the check, so even cashing it was difficult. All in all, I did love the Grand Marquis and my wedding was beautiful. I booked to have my 50th birthday party for July 19th 2025 and unfortunately, my mother passed away in November 24th 2024 and called Sydney The event specialist to reschedule my birthday party to Next May 2026. The contract Stated That you are allowed to postpone your party in case there is any emergency for at least one year. Not only that they charged me extra $150 from the original price of $130 without food Just the space and drinks they also want me to pay an extra $2000 for them to open up my original date. I gave Sydney the event specialist Enough time to work on this and still this company cannot resolve my problem. All they just want is for me to lose $4800 deposit that I made. I first reached out to them in December 3rd 2024. They have enough time to work with me if they want to but I'm the one calling them sometimes with no response. They have enough time to work with me but they did not.
Today 2/18/2025 I reached out to the Sydney the event specialist and she got one of the owners of the event center on the phone not only that he was not trying to help solve the situation with moving the date to weekend that I wanted he insisted that summer is the hot season of the year so if I want to have the party, I can choose February 2026 or a Friday or Sunday for the same rate of $130 and the transfer fee of $2000. I'm the client, why will you choose a different Month for me. My original month was July 19 and that's summer time and the owner wants me to pick a Friday or Sunday in February. He responded was you know I can keep your money if you don't want to sign another contract to open up the date with a penalty of $2000 if nobody book that date.
Guys be careful with event place like Grand Marquis. Their customers service is very poor when it comes to responding or returning phone call/ email . They don't have empathy on their clients. They are just there to rip people off. I would never recommend Sydney to serve anyone. Their goal is to take advantage of people and not to solve their problem.

We booked our wedding there almost solely because of the wonderful experience we had the first time we went to visit and the way Nertila and the staff treated us. We were cautiously optimistic and felt the place was beautiful. It turned out to blow away all of our expectations. Nertila was amazing throughout the entire planning process and just could not possibly have been any nicer to deal with or more helpful. She made us feel completely comfortable in every way and helped us throughout. We are so lucky that we got to work with her for our wedding. As a whole the rest of the staff was amazing also. From the moment we showed up for our wedding to the time we left at the end of the night, every single staff member treated all of our guests like royalty. The service was incredible! The food was unbelievably delicious and perfectly timed and cooked! The bar never had a line! The cocktail hour was insane! The room was completely stunning and perfect! Our guests have been RAVING nonstop about the wedding and about Grand Marquis. We honestly feel so proud and lucky to be able to say we had our wedding there and everyone left with a wonderful memory. No guest was left wanting and everyone was taken care of with special attention, patience, and care. We felt so welcomed and special, as if it was the only wedding they had the whole year. They helped with the setup, and treated every request with a "CAN DO" attitude. We made 2 special request for the evening. One was to have great bartenders and not have a line, and the other was to offer extra desserts passed to the tables. Both were delivered perfectly and the guests were ecstatic about it. Thank you so much for everything you did. We can confidently say there is no other place we could have imagined having our wedding and GM holds a special place in our hearts forever.
