Mark, the owner of Madison Deli, brought this place back from the dead. It had gone through a number of owners, but it seemed no one could keep this place going until Mark took over. The food is great, and the service is phenomenal. Many years ago, this building was a deli with a soda fountain and grill. It had a long counter with stools. You could get a meal or a quick sandwich and a soda from the fountain. It was well known for its ice cream floats and shakes. Ten dollars for a breakfast sandwich. Last week I got a breakfast Sandwich. It was $10. then to day I go in and get the same Sandwich was $9, So it seems to me like the guy that was working Stole a dollar from me to put in the tip jar. The Exxon up the road has way bigger sandwiches than they use boarshead products, and their prices are half of what this place charges. There is no excuse why a Sandwich could ever be that high. even in Manhattan, you don't pay that much for bacon, egg, and cheese. Madison Deli is a wonderful establishment. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious. I ordered a six foot hot sandwich in September for my mom’s birthday and it was so delicious. Everyone was raving about it. I just picked up a second hot sandwich for my son’s birthday. They had my sandwich ready on time and they provided condiments and even carried it to my car.
