G S Hobbies — Local services in Old Bridge Township

Well let me start off with saying great shop it is a true r/c shop these are a rare breed to find anymore. The owner is great and knows her stuff it is good to see a lady into r/c i think more should join up. The shop is so packed you can't fit anything else in there LOL yes it might not look like much on the outside but once inside it is like POW most selection of r/c i have seen in years.. What is nice is they carry many styles of r/c from electric to gas to nitro and all types of scale sizes from cars to plains to drones to trucks and boats along with many companies. Which not many shops do as they stick to one to make them money and that's that. Here you have choices which no other shops give and that makes the difference in my opinion as to me it seems more about getting you into the right hobby than making the buck. The guy who works on everything is full of information and if he don't know he finds out for you the right information which alot of people don't want to be bothered anymore. They fix any type of r/c they support what they sell and even stuff they don't, again rare to find in a shop anymore. I been doing this hobby for 47 years and i can say this is one of the best r/c real r/c shops out there still in business and the tech they have is one of the best i seen out there in a long time how he diagnoses the problems and repairs them and he is honest that is key. Be warned this place is SUPER expensive, there are no prices on any items so you have to ask. They charge random prices depending on who you are i.e If you never shopped there before, if you've shopped there before, and if you're a regular. Pay with a credit card another price entirely. Don't expect a receipt either other than a CC receipt.Don't even try to return an item, if they take it back expect a refund different than the price you paid. When I first got into the hobby the owner charged me one price for a gallon of fuel, I went back a week later and was charged another price, I purchased some more items there(paid out the nose) and brought fuel there as a LAST resort and paid another price. I've gone there on days and business hours that they should've been open and they were closed! I've witnessed the owner flat out refuse to help out a customer with a defective item. I have been going to this place for a few years now and I love it! The owner is so knowledgeable and super sweet and nice. She has so many varieties of RC cars/truck/planes and she caries different brands such as Traxxas and Horizon Hobby. I don’t care if Amazon or other places sells Traxxas Or Horizon Hobby RC cars cheaper, I will always do business with GS Hobby because the owner will take her time and educate you and is very honest and genuine.
