Desert Dome — Attraction in Omaha

Love this place, it was so cool seeing the animals! It literally feels like an actual desert with real and exotic plants and animals. This is by far the best zoo I’ve ever been to. This attraction is awesome. The Kingdoms of the Night is probably my favorite area in the zoo. It is below the Desert Dome and it is very dark. There is an area in the caves that there are open pools of water. There is glass below the surface but it is a drop off. Walking the swamp reminded me of Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland. This dome is pretty amazing! The desert(s) inside have wildlife displayed with information about the animals that the kids found interesting. It's a dry heat and very tolerable unlike the "real" desert-- very cool to see inside the dome, and one of the most visible things in the zoo from outside.
