The bathrooms here are disgusting. I go here every week due to practices for my children and there's always pads on the floor once I even found a needle I had to call the city and have them come and clean it up. The sink is disgusting the floor is disgusting the toilets look like they don't get scrubbed. At times I've gone into it has been feces that has been spread on the floor or pooped in the corner and then I'll come back a second time during the week and it's still sitting there. And there are a lot of homeless at this park in which I have never been bothered by any but they do frequent the bathroom and they will stay in the handicap restroom 4 hours sleeping or doing whatever else it is that they're doing in there. One time I went and the homeless were underneath where all the benches are and they had made the benches into beds for themselves by putting sheets and mattresses on top. And then they had the sheets hanging down so that way they had a little hideaway spot underneath the tables. And I understand they need somewhere to go during the day and parks are for everybody they don't have to take over the benches and make it to where we can't even sit and have lunch with our children. This park has potential to be it's those few things could be address. Oh and the ants there are vicious. We've had to call multiple times and ask them to have the park sprayed because we have been to the point where they were climbing into my child car seat and he had a bunch of welts on him and on my legs and the girls on the team. So my suggestion to you if you go to this Park where's bug spray for the mosquitoes and take raid and spray all around where you will be sitting. I still have welts on my from being bitten up two weeks ago and so does my son. The playground is very nice my kids enjoyed it and I actually enjoyed watching them play it seemed to be well-kept. The picnic area is usually packed sometimes with homeless but a lot of the time it's more so companies that are having parties or men going there after work to have their beers. And of course it is a dog-friendly Park just make sure to have your dog on a leash...
Read moreThey have a community center here which I didnt get to see due to it being closed (Saturday). It's a big park, from fern to Euclid. Plenty of space to have a get together and play soccer, baseball etc... Play ground is located near fern Ave. For most of the part the actual park is OK, plenty of trash cans and mostly clean. My complaint is there is only ONE SET of open bathrooms located by Phillips Ave. This bathroom is occupied by transients and druggies most of the time. We came around 12 noon and didn't leave till about 6pm the whole time it was hard to even walk in there (both men and women) someone was tagging in the women's stall a lady was living in the women's bathroom. A man was washing his clothes in theens restoom and had his stuff set up in there. 3 men were also blocking the men's side due to there "Drug transaction". So that's my take on the park. Hopefully the city of Ontario can clean up that part and the city can start doing maintenance...
Read moreThis park is big. The city of Ontario has been investing money into it as well. They have 2 work out areas with some pull up and dip stations. They also have some machines for working out your legs chest and shoulders. They use your own body weight. They have a nice picnic area, horse shoe pit and volleyball area. Baseball field and basketball courts. They also have slides and swings for the kids. This park is a nice place to plan a BBQ. Just beware when the sun falls and the little Leaguers are done practicing their sports. The park becomes a haven for vagabonds and...
