Second time here. First was 20 years ago, and everything is different. More rules, different people, more strict. The downside was the weather, making it overcast and crying out for sunshine. Otherwise the lack of interior lighting made it difficult to see the fine details which were only pointed out by flashlight for a split second. While about an hour long, the tour felt rushed with no time to properly admire everything.

W.H. Stark House holiday tour. What a fascinating family and such a gift to Orange, Texas. Beautifully restored home and collections! We have toured twice. There are only special times they are open now.

I was interested in seeing this mansion but it was closed and completely surrounded by scaffolding. It was very disappointing since I couldn't even take a proper picture of it.
