Never a time, rain or shine, where I have not enjoyed walking around and sitting at this smaller neighborhood park! So peaceful, cleanly kept, just a relaxing experience. I have come when a big group of people set up volleyball nets and enjoyed an afternoon game. I’ve also been here when there are small soccer games going on and birthday parties too. It’s just a nice place to do a scaled down forest bathe, to meditate, to enjoy a picnic or cup of coffee, whatever you like. Plenty of benches, people walking around are super friendly and the dogs I see walking about with their owners are too. Parking is plenty sufficient each time I’ve come. It gives you a nice breeze and shade when it’s hot outside or even when it rains you can find a break under a tree. It’s the perfect place to take a good stroll to get your steps in. And just how, as I’m leaving, I’m seeing a nice summer day camp group come to enjoy a fun day at Metzger Park.

Metzger Park might be little but it packs a punch. Playground has a real classic merry-go-round. There are tennis courts. My personal favorite? A basketball court. I am undefeated going one-on-one against my dad here. When I want to hoop, this is where I hoop. Six and a half hoops and mini covered bleachers so my mom can watch me hit a clean fadeaway from midrange. I see a lot of people gather at Metzger for summer parties and there’s hardly a better place than under the aged pines. And I can take in the view after absolutely posting up my dad in the paint.

This place is a community staple, a well shaded park with many towering evergreens, a very well maintained grounds with plenty of room to run around and for kids to play. Includes a basketball court, 2 tennis courts, a smaller kids play area, a regular playground and an area with swings. There is also a hall that can be reserved. Also a note, regardless of the company this attracts by proximity (next to a few apartment complexes), it is a safe and clean park. Regularly patrolled by a Washington County Sheriff.

We like this little gem of a park. It has a partially shaded large structure with a very tall slide and a lower double slide. Two toddler/infant swings in a shaded area. A round spinning thing (merry-go-round?), you don't find them very often. There are regular swings too but unfortunately they are way across the field and that is my big gripe about this park. You either have to let your older child play there alone while you are with your younger one at the playground/toddler swings or take the little one over to wait while the older one swings. If I had any say I would have regular swings installed near the main playground structure. And if they did that they could add in a swing for those with disabilities. I have not used the bathrooms but I hear they are some of the best as far as parks go. There is even a picnic table. Metzger Park is an older park with odd history, if you can tour the park building there is the history of it and about the (horror) movie that was filmed there (in the 90's I believe). 5☆ if the swings we near the...

I am writing to express my utmost satisfaction with Metzer Park. It is a truly remarkable park that exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The park is well-maintained and offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages.

The park's facilities are top-notch and the staff is extremely helpful and courteous. I particularly enjoyed the walking trails and the scenic views of the surrounding area. The playgrounds are also very well-designed and safe for children to play on.

Overall, I highly recommend Metzer Park to anyone looking for a great outdoor experience. It is truly a gem that should not be missed. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for...
