This place doesn't even seem to have a typical ol"office" you drive up to l, stop getting out and go "register" we had already booked our reservation months ago. When we arrived we actually frowned because go figure our luck that a family or multi family was already set up right NEXT door to us with all their tents and such.they have lots of others visiting and parking on the street around then. The sites aren't very big need not even mention how narrow the actual roads are. Luckily, I only have a little 20' single axle trailer. There is no way I would attempt camping in any of this places sites with something big like my 37' fifth wheel Our site was quite dirty with leftover graffiti from probably 4th of July along with bits and pieces of misc garbage around and some cigarette butts. I saw a person sweeping or mopping out the bathrooms about noon on Saturday but from Friday when we arrived tell Sunday NONE of the toilet paper in bathrooms had been restocked so my family members had to use t.p from out of our trailer. When we reserved our spot, we finally received codes for the showers' doors. When we got there, NONE of the 4 codes we got worked for ANY of the doors. We talked to a fellow camper, and they let us see their paper with 4 other codes and NONE of thair codes were anything even close to what we had been given, but his codes worked for the showers. Our first evening, we saw the people down the way having a campfire. And we already KNEW this was not allowed because all of California, Oregon, and Washington is under a burn ban. A bit layer we saw a camp host or someone come by on a Gator and tell then they need to put it out because of the ban. I didn't hear what was said, but the person then drove there Gator away, and the people sorta watched her leave, and then they continued and did NOT put out their fire.. two or three OTHERS decided to have campfires the 2nd night as well. The rocky river area is great to cool down with, but lots are packed with everyone and their fifth cousin at the water. WITH there dogs that they DON'T have on leashes. Oh. And it appears that there are NO dumpsters for garbage. There is a sign on the bathroom that says "pack it in--->/ pack it out<---. Making if you bring stuff in and have garbage to take it with you when you leave.

I wanted to give them a better star rating but no, not this visit. We booked a site (*months ago) in the *back section of the new & improved park. The problem? The new & improved section was not finished. No play area, no horseshoe pits. The park is nice and has lots of green space to enjoy. Easy access to the river too. **BUT there is constant, LOUD noise from the hi-way - think jake-breaks when you’re trying to sleep. My husband thought our site would better than the last time we were here - yet it was so much worse. We had ZERO shade and tons of hi way and frontage road noise. I couldn’t wait to get home to get some sleep. Christy, the park manager is a kind, professional woman, who makes sure fellow campers are following the rules. We would never stay in this particular spot and would advise anyone against it. Perhaps when the new section is actually finished - we will return. See (hear) video.

Well let me start by saying I left this place very sad. I’m on a roadtrip through Oregon from California wanted to car camp found this place got there early. Saw cars & campers so Im good. I checked my self in at the box like any other campsite. Come 6 pm I’m getting kicked out by the Host (older woman) saying the park is closed & that she has no access to the self service box, that is just ridiculous. She couldn’t refund me my 30 dollars, says it’s illegal to car camp & she’s locking the restrooms. Way to make a young woman feel safe & welcomed traveling alone in the wilderness. The times, oh well I left. I will be making calls come Monday. If you’re a young woman in the outdoors may the odds be in your favor because people are very very unwelcoming.

Let me start by saying that Donna, our camp host earned 5 stars. She is attentive, available, and very personable. The park and facilities were very clean, trash was emptied regularly, which is usually a beef for me at campgrounds. The park features a large rock and sand beach on the Umpqua River. It lies on a large, slow portion of the river that is great for all ages. Pebbled shallows extend as far as 10 feet from the bank at only a foot or so deep, so it's safer for the little ones. Father out, the water is deep, with little current, so it's perfect for an afternoon on a floatie. The slow part breaks over gravel shallows into light rapids with lots of fishing holes and good trail. The sites have a sturdy iron fire ring with an adjustable grill and a concrete bottom so you don't have to wonder what the folks behind left in the bottom of the pit. Sites range from tent to full hookup. If you are using full hookups, be sure and bring something to weight your black water hose down, as the hookups are a bit antiquated. And for anyone using the park, bring your own water, the park supply is potable, but unpalatable.Overall, we had a very nice experience, and will come back and recommend the...

Felt uneasy. We arrived to a clean campground and were excited to get settled in. We were just unloading when the camp host came over to greet us. We had been there about 5 minutes and our kids had just walked across the way- about 20 yards- to the playground. The camp host immediately told us to "keep our kids close and keep a close eye on them as there is a lot of rif-raf that comes into camp." We appreciated the heads up and honesty but after that felt super uneasy- especially after seeing a few bums and questionable people hanging out at the park gazebo area and using the restrooms. It is the ONLY time in all our years of camping that we put everything into our camper (chairs, coolers, etc) and locked them up when we left for the days activities. We also didn't sleep well after that, waking to most noises, concerned about "the rif-raf." We wouldn't stay here again simply for feeling so unsettled and it is right off the freeway, so a lot of random people do walk into camp and the park area nearby. Additionally- no wifi (they have it locked down with a password they won't share) and it is loud with the constant traffic driving by on...
