Located alongside of the Neuse River and the sleepy town of Oriental. It is a quiet park with limited Adirondack chairs and plenty of parking. It provides a nice view of the Neuse River and the surrounding community. There is a pier located near the main park area where fishing is encouraged but you will have to be wary of the rocks that line shoreline. Dogs are welcome but owners are asked to clean-up after their pet. Lou Mac Park is also home to several seasonal events such as “Spirit of Christmas” and several arts and crafts shows hosted by the town of Oriental.
