Psych Escape Room — Attraction in Orland Township

I've done many many escape rooms now, and I judge rooms different with many factors built in. I've done all three rooms at this location, and the only one that is worth doing is the Sherlock Holmes room. The puzzles in the Al Capone room are beyond bad and poorly designed. Broken puzzles and red herrings in the room that cause confusion and frustration. The lake house is a cluttered mess with overly confusing puzzles. There are many ways to make an escape room great, and this could stand to rethink quite a few their puzzles. Set design, and one good room are the only reason this gets a second star. Quite disappointed paying the price for such poor rooms. Wont be back for the expansion rooms.

Edit: I have a reply about the decor comment, but do not wish to spoil any parts of the game as this could have been part of the puzzle that was "broken" as there were items not used in the final room that are most definitely not just "decor". Thanks for...

We were initially excited to try Pych Escape Room, but the experience quickly went downhill. About 30 minutes into the game, we encountered a locked box that required a four-digit code. As soon as we picked it up, the lock opened on its own no code entered. Clearly, someone had forgotten to reset and secure it properly. Then the screen suddenly announced the game was over, even though we hadn’t solved anything in the second hidden Capone room. When we raised the issue, the staff member first said the clues to open that box were in that room, then backtracked and claimed we had solved it even though we didn’t. If the cameras are as clear as they claim, they should easily see we never entered the code. This kind of mistake completely undermines the whole point of an escape room. No apology, no refund just a silent employee behind the counter who smirked as we left. I basically donated $200 to this place. Very disappointing and absolutely not...

I wanted a unique birthday gift for my husband this year and boy did I pick it right! My husband, myself, and our adult kids (4 of them) did the Sherlock Room. OMG, we had so much fun! We did end up asking for the 2nd of our 3 hints with 6 minutes remaining on the clock! We laughed and frantically ran around like crazy people - finding clues and solving puzzles - but we solved the last puzzle, uncovered the secret and found the key with 3 minutes 26 seconds remaining! I can't even begin to describe the elation!! I can honestly say this was the most fun we've had in a long time. We can't wait to go back and try another one of the rooms you have. Thank you for helping to make this birthday gift one he'll remember for a long time to come! I would recommend this to every family or groups of friends looking for a unique and fun time together. Kudos to the staff as well. So friendly and welcoming to us "newbies"! Can't wait...
