Beautiful salon, pretty and clean, however don't get colon hydrotherapy. I would never go here again for a colonic. Even though this owner is very nice and says she has been doing colonics for years, I was unhappy with her arrangement. I called in advance and asked for a closed system with a viewing tube. They didn't tell me you can't view the tube unless you hold a heavy mirror. She said the colonic would be 1 hour, so I was expecting the normal 1 1/2 hours like other places. She spent 1/2 hour prepping my colon with a silly vibrating machine and then asked me to pay $15 extra for a warm colon massage. I agreed to this but did not really know what I was agreeing to. The colon massage should have been included as every other therapist I've ever gone to does this automatically and does not charge extra! Plus most therapists also do reflexology to prep the colon which she did not do. When we were only 30 minutes into the colonic part, she told me she was through. I was shocked and questioned why I was not getting 30 more minutes on the machine. She tried to tell me some crazy thing about not being able to put more than a certain amount of gallons in the colon each time. Ridiculous! I've had colonics in three states including Florida and I have never heard anything so crazy. Everywhere else, clients are given a FULL HOUR on the machine. Then as I was trying to view the tube I asked questions. Most seasoned therapists are quite educated about what their clients are passing. She had no idea what I was passing! Claiming years of expertise she should have been able to educate me. Also when she filled me up, she is supposed to move the dial to put in the water, and to release the water, instead she kept squeezing the tube to back up the water which causes undue pressure on the colon. Never had that done before either! Again she is super nice, but try a different service there. I am a seasoned colonic person and would ever go back for colon...
Read moreI just had my second Colon Hydrotherapy session at Alora Health Spa, and I highly recommend it. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease. I was feeling bloated and uncomfortable before the treatment, and now I feel so much lighter, more energized, and refreshed. The difference is truly remarkable. Clarice is absolutely outstanding. She is professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. She took the time to explain the process in a calming and clear manner, and she made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Her gentle approach and reassuring demeanor helped me fully relax and get the most out of the session. What really sets Clarice apart is her genuine care and attentiveness. She checked in throughout the treatment, made thoughtful suggestions for post-session hydration and care, and created a peaceful atmosphere that made the entire experience feel therapeutic and healing. Alora Health Spa is a beautiful, clean, and tranquil space, and the overall environment added to the quality of care I received. It’s rare to find a provider who combines skill with such warmth and professionalism, but Clarice does it effortlessly. I’m so grateful I found this place and such a talented therapist. I’m already looking forward to my next session. If you’ve been considering Colon Hydrotherapy or are just looking for a place to feel better inside and out, do yourself a favor and book with Clarice—you...
Read moreThis was the weirdest and most non-desirable facial and spa experience I've ever had and I've had many over the years. When I go to a health spa, I expect to relax and to get an experience I can't give myself at home. Usually, the massage feels good. Everything about this was weird and uncomfortable. 1. When I walked in the room, I wasnt asked to change into a robe or even take my shoes off. She told me I could keep my shoes on. What??? 2. She didnt put a spa headband on me to protect my hair. And I was freezing and had to ask for a blanket. 3. She didnt speak English so I couldn't even communicate(ask questions, etc). 4. Her phone was right next to her and it pinged 5 times. This is incredibly rude, unprofessional, and kept me from relaxing. 5. She was totally disconnected from the experience and I could feel it from the tension in her hands on my face. 6. She clearly does not know what feels good on the face. There were times she would wipe something off my face and forget one side or use a non-desirable tissue or something close to that. FYI: A tissue does not bring sensation to the face. Its actually annoying. Clearly, she had no pampering energy in her body. It was like having a robot give me a facial. For those reasons, I could not tip and shouldn't have paid for this facial because it was a...
