Another update: I'm here on a Thursday with the hurricane rapidly approaching. The location is still well stocked, nicely appointed, and comfortable. Quieter day today (no families returning home after vacation?) plenty of room today and the Asian slaw is fantastic. Have not yet hit the fresh gelato machine. But I saw a salted caramel there which although a little overdone these days, I may still try. I highly recommend this particular club.
Update: If you are using the club on a day pass, wait to buy it until you get here. With flight delays, they opted to limit access to only Club Members. A new amenity is the Gelato machine. Fresh gelato made while you wait and it was very good. Raspberry and Vanilla bean. Also I had not previously mentioned that they have a kids area because of families visiting the theme parks. Unfortunately some parents don't keep their in that area and today it was a bit loud with kids. Another new item is the dish robot. Kinda fun.(End)
All the amenities of the United clubs, just a bit small. On a Friday afternoon it's a bit crowded. Nice lunch buffet, BBQ, slaw, pickled onions and more. A couple of snack stations with trail mix, chips, and popcorn. Bar is lightly stocked, but Lynn is here and is quick and friendly. Tables are getting cleared pretty quickly. Only a couple plates visible. Prosecco and Mimosas are oddly popular. I've never been a prosecco fan. Only Miller lite and Sam Adams on tap. If you are in LA, the selection...
Read moreThe United Club had free rail cocktails, soft drinks, coffee and wide variety of fruits and snacks. It also had charging stations galore, hotel lounge like seating and plenty of staff walking around checking on guests and cleaning. Bathrooms are great too!. While the Orlando Intl Airport United Club is smaller than some of the other ones I've been to, its still very nice, comfortable, quieter than terminal and makes the traveling experience that much more enjoyable.
Also, as part of United Club membership you SKIP all lines at check in. I didn't know this at first. There is a special check in counter called "Premier Access". This is for United Club members. Forget standing in long lines to drop off your bag and racing to the terminal. I was in and out in less than 5 min. While I typically travel light, the first checked bag is FREE. Just make sure your boarding pass has "premier Access" listed on it otherwise you'll get charged the $30. because the system won't recognize you as a member...
Read moreTwo times in a row my wife and I were denied entry.
In January, apparently the club had a flood and they were unable to accept entries. They gave out food vouchers to people they turned away (but didn't offer any to us).
Today we went at 1:40PM. Our flight departs at 5:00PM, boards at 4:15PM. There are signs everywhere that state they are unable to accept 1 time passes, which is already unwelcoming as it is. When I went to confirm with the agent, she said it was too early for me to check in and to try around 3PM. Upon looking around, the club was nowhere near capacity (several empty seats in direct line of sight).
Both times we have been turned away, we have gone to terminal A and gotten into The Club with no issue. Not sure what the issue is with this United Lounge in particular, but it is the only one we've had this issue...
