When the rain poured down, I stumbled upon a scene that spoke volumes - a winding line of eager souls waiting patiently for something special. It wasn’t just any line; it was a congregation of taco enthusiasts, braving the elements for the tantalizing allure of Tijuana-style tacos from @overthebordertaqueria . Last night’s sight affirmed what I’ve heard about this Orlando pop-up - their in-house made, flavor-packed tacos are pure culinary magic. It’s more than food; it’s an experience. And let me tell you, witnessing folks willingly queue up, rain-soaked yet undeterred, speaks volumes about the tantalizing flavors that await. Mark your calendars for their next appearance on December 1st at 6943 Lake Nona Blvd, Orlando, FL 32827. Trust me, this isn’t just a food recommendation; it’s an invitation to savor an unforgettable taco affair. Rain or shine, these tacos are worth the wait! 🌮☔️ • • #orlandofoodie #orlandodatenightguide #orlandopopupshop #orlandofoodtrucks #floridafoodie #floridafoodblogger #orlandoblogger

I was 1 of 3 guests, who were less than satisfied with the service. As I arrived guest #1 was complaining about watered down drinks. Doubles not being Doubles. Etc. My margarita was too sweet. I wasn't impressed but, I was looking forward to some food. They had a limited menu I ordered something simple. Still, my food took a very long time. Not because they were busy; my bartender didn't put in my order. I watched her continue make drinks, and not put my food in. I was sitting directly behind the register in the bar area. She took another person's food order, and put it in right after. I thought maybe she'll enter mines at the same time. I ordered a shot...didn't take it right away.. I was waiting for my food.. I was never offered complimentary chips and salsa. I sat there quietly. When I look up, after sometime. I thought my food had finally arrived. It was the person next to me. When she saw me look at her, her eyes got really big as she said, "let me check on your food, ok." I watched her walk into the kitchen and start freaking out about my little plain cheese quesadila. As sometime went by and she's still there talking to the kitchen, I asked another bartender if the complimentary chips and salsa were only available for certain items. I was told no but, sometimes the bartenders forget to ask. So guests have to ask. She was super sweet and offered to get some for me. She took less than 2 minutes. Was super friendly. Excellent customer service in my book. My bartender/server came out with my food eventually. The quesadilla looked like my todler put it in the microwave. Hard to believe that took over 25 minutes to make. Yet chicken tacos for my neighbor who had rice and beans as well, only took 10-15. An older couple came and took the place of customer #1. They were upset that they were directed to the bar vs a table. They said something to the effect of, "I guess they want us to spend less money. I just don't understand why we have to come here while there are empty tables." It looked like they were only seating parties of 4+ and making smaller parties wait longer. It could be due to staff shortages/smaller sections etc. They bickered about the bartender and kept complaining about how not they were only going to have a drink and leave. I was glad when they did finally leave. I guess by then she hadn't been happy with her tips, as she asked if I was OK or needed anything. I understand service workers are allowed to have bad days, it just felt like she let her temporary feelings affected her ability to deliver decent service. As I was writing this review, another person moved next to the spot guy who got here after me and got his entree before my appetizer, was sitting at. She was complaining about setting and bad service as well. No shift manager in sight. So you're welcome for collecting some feedback on customer satisfaction this evening. Please comment with your email so I can send you an invoice for my time. Picture for proof, of what I was able to to see from my seat.

This review is for their service as I was unable to dine. Extremely unorganized system to greet and sit guests. You need to add your name to the Open Table waitlist, which no problem, seems more efficient and I did. The problem lies in that there was a greeter at the door at about 6:50pm and she confirmed my name was on the list with her tablet and told me it should be about 25 min. Ok no problem. I came 45 min later because I had not received a text or anything and I wanted to confirm I was still in line. The greeter was nowhere to be seen. I stood waiting for over 20 min to see if she’d come back (there was a long line at the door) and she never did. During that time the bartender came up and was asking for a party of 2 to sit at the bar. I was ahead of the line with another gentlemen, we didn’t know each other, but said we could sit at the bar. She looked us over and kept going down the line of people until someone pretty much yelled at her and said “we are a party of two”, she almost didn’t want to let her sit cause her husband was in the bathroom and she kept on asking “are you alone, where is your party”. HORRIBLE customer service. I added a picture of 4 dirty tables that just sat there, without getting bussed, and not getting a new table of guests. Worse experience. This is an airport location, they should be used to high volume and turn and burn. Would NOT RECOMMEND!!

Not a good experience altogether. We had a party of 7. Our flight was delayed and we had a few hours. The check in process was easy enough for parties of 6 with a QR code they provide to join a waitlist. Since we had 7, we did 2 separate check ins of 4 and 3. When I received a text I asked if they can accommodate a party of 7 since we could not choose 7 for the wait list. Unfortunately the hostess was absent most of the time, so asking before joining the waitlist would have put us further down the list since people kept coming and they were the only restaurant available other than pizza. They put us in a corner booth that squeezed us all in but it was a little tight. Upon asking if we could have a chair at the table wear the booth is not, they made it seem like a big request , but they had plenty of tables open. I couldn't understand why that would be a big deal. We told them to forget it so we just dealt, we were hungry. She left without taking any drink orders and we waited for a bit before she came back. We noticed her dancing and got frustrated. There were other tables around us that had left that had not been cleared for quite some time. I noticed that while we're waiting to be called. They were still not cleared as we waited just for her to ask us what drinks we wanted. While sitting there I noticed a QR code that made it seem like we were suppose to order through there. So we went through the process of doing so, wishing she had mentioned that before leaving. It would not let us complete the process after we all chose what we wanted. Then she appeared to take our order. It was weird, why wouldn't you inform us that you will be back to take our order so we're not left wondering? So realizing we wasted our time we gave our order. She asked if we wanted rice, sour cream, guac...she never said it was extra and to me they should have been part of the meal already. So our bill was quite more than I thought it would be. She offered chips and salsa, guacamole while we wait for our meal, but failed to say that it was going to cost us 20 bucks more. It was really ridiculous. So disappointed in the service and lack of transparency. The flautas were sort of crispy but very greasy and tasted like the oil they used. The rice was good and the guacamole was tasty. The chips were SOOOO salty. We were told to check out with the same QR code we tried to use to order before. It had already included an 18% service charge. So be aware that it may be the same for any party size. Usually it's for 8 or more and I almost gave her another tip. Glad we caught it, because it was definitely not deserved. Anytime we had a question, they had to go ask...

MCO On the border Mexican grill and cantina restaurant. We arrived went to sit at the bar, I asked bartender if we could sit at tables was told there was a waiting list but we could sit on the other side of bar. After 10 min and 3 waiters walking past I asked the bartender if I needed to order with him or would someone be serving us, he said yes no one came nor did he get someone to take our order. Same three servers pass us look at us again say norhung. I asked one of them if someone would be serving us they said yes, kept walking didn’t ask if we had been served or anything. Finally a server comes 39 min later tells us that section is closed to move directly in front of the bar. We move in front of the bar explain the situation. Response is oh I’m sorry it’s closed shrugs shoulders like too bad. We sit at the bar. John the same bartender says we need to move down again because my friend was sitting in front of the server corner and needs to move again. She moves, bartender is not serving anyone and still did not come take our drink or food order. It took him another 7 min to come take our drink order. In addition to the fact that every area we sat in was dirty with food and drinks all over it.I 42 yrs old order a 1800 Mercedes my friend 54 orders the same and my daughter 19 orders cranberry juice. He then ask her how old is she if she is under 21. We can’t sit at the bar. There actually was no customer service from any staff member to include manager. They were all unprofessional rude and disrespectful. As well as the restaurant disgusting. 40 plus minutes at this point and all we did was play musical chairs. I ask to speak with manager. Manager Vass comes same unprofessional nonchalant apology and had no resolution or response. I then ask for corporate number and names of server he says he doesn’t have that information. The bartender then starts to tell manager vass I didn’t do anything wrong she is under 21. That was not the process of what happened. The service and staff needs training and so does manager communication and professionalism is required to operate an establishment. I had come to this restaurant many times in Orlando International airport and never had this experience. I will never come back and put my money in this...
