Crappy quality jewelry. Spent $4k on a ring in December & it was a special order so it had to be made & we were supposed to get it at the end of January but we didn't get it until February. Finally after such a long time of waiting we got it but after wearing the ring for less than 1 week the center stone fell out. Luckily for right now it was only a cubic as the Center Stone & I found it. The ring including the prongs is in Platinum (I chose that because I know Platinum is stronger than gold) I took it to the jewelry store quite irritated that the stone fell out so quickly. They told me that the prongs were not cut correctly the first time & they assured me they would get it taken care of. It took quite a while for me to get the ring back & after I did I was too scared to wear it so I just kept it in the box for about 3 months before I decided to wear it again. Well the stone fell out again a couple of months later so I went back to the store furious asking them why this keeps happening & they told me that Cubics aren't as strong as diamonds (which I already knew) but I still don't understand why I'm having so many issues in such a short amount of time of wearing the ring. The owner told me after going in the 2nd time that it looked like the prongs were too long so I asked him why they didn't bother to catch that the first time I had to bring it back & all he said was "good question" & didn't even answer me. I told him we were planning on spending a really good amount of money on a diamond & also on a platinum wedding band but I was very hesitant about buying anything else from them since I've been having so many issues with a ring that I had only worn for 3 months and what if it was a real diamond that fell out and what if I happened to not find it? All he said was that they stand by their products and if there's any issues he assured me that they will take care of it but he didn't really emphasize any further than that. He told me he will have the stone put back in & have have it taken care of & a week later I did get it back.... but now 2 weeks later my stone fell out for the 3rd freaking time!! Every time I've brought it in they've either blamed it on something that I could be doing because apparently I'm just smacking my hand everywhere hitting my ring on hard surfaces, that's pretty much what the owner said to me the last time I was in. His exact words were "people don't like to admit fault" I would understand if I had this ring for a long time but with it still being so new & having so many issues that's just beyond ridiculous! I am not wasting anymore of my time or money with this company. I'll be taking my $10k + dollars and will purchase a diamond & a wedding...
Read moreI first went here when my fiancé got his watch batteries repaired, and I was delighted at how warmly we were treated. Christine let me try on rings because "why not!", got my ring finger sized, and even showed us a 5 carat diamond and regaled us with its history. I know it sounds cliche, but we really were treated like family, and more importantly, valued customers (even though we were just there for a watch battery). I sometimes joke that I wish I had some free time to just go hang out at Sheffield's. Look at the sparkles, chat, just chill. It's literally that type of warm atmosphere. A few months later, when we got engaged, we knew exactly where we wanted to go for the ring. Eric took the time to teach us all about diamonds and settings and this vs that, and it was such a pleasurable experience. I felt like I was chatting with a friend (who just happened to be super passionate about diamonds!). We never got the feeling that we were being pressured into buying anything, or treated lesser because we weren't going to spend tens of thousands of dollars. We went to other diamond stores that day, but we knew we'd come back to Eric. The ring we purchased is not only beautiful and memorable because it's exactly the design I wanted, but it also carries with it that wonderful feeling of being welcomed and valued as Eric's customer and friend. They even sent us gift cards to a local restaurant and theater as a congratulations, which is just so thoughtful. Honestly, if I ever move away from Tucson, Sheffield's Diamonds is going to be like.. my top 5 places I'll...
Read moreWe took a ring to Sheffield’s diamonds on Oracle in Tucson. The prongs retaining the stone were bent and we needed a repair. The gentleman who assisted us estimated the cost of the repair at around $80.00. That sounded reasonable so and we agreed to proceed with the repair. A couple days later we got a message letting us know the “Re-sizing” of the ring would be $200.00. Re-sizing? $200.00? No! We immediately called back but called while Sheffield’s was closed (Sunday and Monday). When we finally got in touch with the store, we declined the repair, asked for the return of our ring, and requested the attention of the manager. Of course, the manager was unavailable at that time, but he/she would call us back right away. We were then told it would be several days before we could get the ring back because repairs are done by a third party. The Sheffield’s employee apologized for not knowing what the ring was in for (bent prong, not “re-sizing”). It seemed like forever before we finally got our ring returned, but the entire process took about eight days. We then took the ring to another jeweler (McGuire’s, Ryan, who does his repairs in house). This guy was outstanding! Exceptional customer service, knowledge, and pride apparent. Cost? $23.50. I don’t recommend Sheffield’s Diamonds on Oracle Road for repairs. Oh, by the way, we never got that call back from a...
