Tohono Chul-Desert Discovery Education Center — Attraction in Oro Valley

Tohono Chul was an amazing place to see. There are volunteer docents who are available all over the place and they have tons of great information about the history and the purpose of this place. The nursery had an excellent selection of cactus, and native shrubs and trees. You will need to spend at least a couple of hours there. Thankfully, there are lots of places to sit and rest to take it all in. I look forward to visiting again...

From the outside the Tohono Chul-Desert Discovery Education Center looks wild and interesting, dotted with cactuses, sand and other desert features. However, this view is best enjoyed from the outside of the barbed wire surrounding the park as this seems to be private property in the hands of owners not much more hospitable than the cactus itself.
