Absolutely a good place to have in the ideal community and user needs suit the public places to event at . But In the real truth of every day places with exorbitant hypocrital waste of funding being misdirected in a community that has so many things that are needing to be the benefactor , disrepair or neglected due to locality is wasted in the pasts funds . Why build a new park while the sidewalks and city streets need so much work on just maintain them to be responsible and respectful to the taxpayer purchase in budgeted funding uses and the demand for by growth and development vs do we need it to be a town with a out of control managerial seats spending and budgeting uses vs needs really ? Hope and or home when used with lessnes as single words meanings are the targeted point i am trying to illustrate please no offense intended directly at any individuals except Chucky Reyn**D's Facebook commenting is a little much ya sissy , public voice puts you where you are taking that out of the equation is both counter productive and suspiciously like actions of guilty conscience being put on point in the eye of the forum of public voice matters . Sorry for the slapin the Facebook lol. No I'm not but I'm saying it here now not to save face but to be real and honest with my opinion in the view of public voice of my voice and uses of the media display and the whole embodied interpretation of reviewing . City council and mayor of the city now shameful, and honestly the worst planning for your platform. No offense intended for individuals I'm shaking my finger at all of...

Yes its a cool park .but it is just as much liability.when they first started talking if putting this park here i told them you are building on a natural and very active flood plain.what is this the 3rd or the 4th time of total distruction.paying to rebuild a mistake over and over again .you could have built 3 or 4 complete nice parks that would still be there to enjoy as long as u built them somewhere else.wake up it was people who moved here that started this, they didnt know better but were told.how manymore times are. We goingto pay for this bad idea.just a,thought.3 more nice parks would serve our city well and be enjoyed 365 days,a year. There are many areas that would be ideal parks.the afterbay is a good one the waters warmer .this place is a gamble and it will flood there again and again its gonna happen the question is when people will be sad to see it. Go but if we are using our brains on this they will abandon this mistake and build a,new elsewhere and stop feeding this money pit.1'2019And what do u know it has washed out again imagine that who would have ever guessed that something built on a active flood plain would wash out again and again .the skinny is the city of oroville is struggling money wise they cant be this mistake sucks money like a toilet does crap.lets throw in another million .and...

First time here, moved to Paradise two years ago (house did not burn). Disc golfing with my two brothers. Was impressed with the park overall. Many people having a good time. Families and couples, some groups. Park is clean, still under restoration according to the sign. With that said it was difficult to tell that restoration was a work in progress. We liked the improvements so far. Go with a friend or two if not a group. Be wary of homeless and transients in the area. Though, this day we saw no activity of that type. Always keep your belongings secure and make sure you lock your car. Don't leave anything of value in...

The 15-mile driving tour, following a painted green line across town from the Feather River to Lake Oroville, covers the major aspects that make Oroville what it is. Area residents might know Oroville as a Gold Rush boomtown, but even the most studious locals can appreciate this comprehensive living history trip. And visitors may be shocked to see how much historical significance this corner of the state holds. How long the tour takes is up to you. Youโ€™ll appreciate that freedom at Riverbend Park; you can launch a boat, hit the playground, play disc golf, or venture into one of several hiking trails. If youโ€™ve got all day, you could spend much of it recreating here and Bedrock Park. Otherwise, move on to Orovilleโ€™s ample museum scene, which includes the CF Lott Home, dating back to 1856, and the Chinese Temple. An official California landmark, it highlights Chinese contributions to the North State. Thereโ€™s also Boltโ€™s Antique Tool Museum, a one-of-a-kind, 12,000-hand tool collection. Move next through Centennial Plaza, where youโ€™ll take in a killer view of the Feather River. Next up are visits to the Ehmann Home (a pivotal contributor to Californiaโ€™s immense olive industry), and the @orovillestatetheatre, which has stood for nearly a century. The Pioneer History Museum caps off the historical part of the tour before crossing the Greenline Bridge and giving way to some breathtaking nature. The @feather.river.nature.center sits on the site of a former Maidu fishing village. Across the river is the Feather River Fish Hatchery, which serves as a waystation for steelhead and Chinook salmon and allows visitors to check out the migration with underwater windows. Finally, a trip to the top of the Oroville Damโ€”Americaโ€™s tallestโ€”and a drop-in at the lakeโ€™s Visitor Center, complete with its incredible viewing tower, round out the tour. A town as rich in history as Oroville canโ€™t possibly be fully experienced in a day, of course. But the Greenline Tour gets pretty darn close.
