Owensboro Regional Farmers Market — Attraction in Owensboro

THIS WAS GREAT!!! Went with my daughter-in-law and her mother for the first time and was blown away by the variety, quality, and pricing of everything offered. They had all types of herbs and vegetables for getting your gardens up and running. There were beautiful flowers of all varieties to make your landscape gorgeous! And the food!!! There are obviously many talented bakers here because the array of offerings was overwhelming! It made your mouth drool just at the sight. And there were at least two venders selling frozen meats, either individually or in bulk bundles, for extremely reasonable prices. There were crafters and fresh honey. So much to see. If I lived here this would be a weekly stop for me!!! The people were so friendly and knowledgeable! They assisted this rookie gardener in getting the plantings for a wonderful vegetable garden - and gave lots of very helpful advice and tips. This farmers market has many options. They had a live band, clean bathrooms, and lots of booths. We weren't hungry before we got to the farmers market, but there were bagel sandwiches over here, steaks cooking over there, and people were homemade eating cookies... This is my first time to Owensboro and it has been fabulous. The riverfront is gorgeous and Friday After Five is just incredible. Good food, good music with plenty of room to walk around or places to sit and enjoy the event without feeling crowded and a great downtown to boot. I will be back to enjoy theese things again and explore more of what Owensboro...
