Absolutely stunning hike! The Pedro Point Headlands trail offers some of the best coastal views in the Bay Area, and the unique micro-climate makes it a little adventure of its own—foggy, cool, and refreshing, even when the rest of the area is baking. I was amazed to see wildflowers still blooming in June.
The trail is about 3–4 miles round trip with around 800 feet of elevation gain, making it a solid workout but totally manageable. You can easily do the whole loop in under 1.5 hours if you keep a steady pace, but it's definitely worth taking your time to enjoy the scenery.
Bonus: Humble Sea Brewing is right next to the trailhead—perfect for a post-hike beer or snack!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quick, beautiful escape close...

Read moreShort hike but great workout! Park at Devils Slide north parking area and there are very clean restrooms. Walk back towards Hwy 1 but stay to the far left on the paved bike path and it will lead you to the trailhead. Clockwise path is steep at first but a nice wide path and leads to breathtaking views, counterclockwise path is narrow single track with lots of poison oak, but views of Pacifica Beach. It’s exactly 1.5 mi from the north parking area to the scenic point on the bluff. Very fun hike and hardly anyone on the trail. North parking area is small so arrive early. I arrived at 9am on a Tuesday and the lot was about half filled....
