Brand new burger place in Pacifica! I have to admit I have been looking forward to the day the Burger-Board doors opened. Today, August 30th is the Day!
One of the things I like best about a burger joint is a place that cooks their meat on FLAME. Burger-Board does does just that by making a chargrilled burger. So in I had to come to try it out. A menu item house branded Burger-Board from the top of the list with a couple of additions. I asked for carmelized onions, cheddar cheese, extra toasted bun, bacon, and a 1/2 pound patty cooked to a solid medium, and of course the works for the rest of the toppings. They got it mostly right but missed adding in the bacon, And the onions were only grilled, not carmelized. Still, I liked what came out. The meat was tasty, juicy, and cooked to a perfect medium. The veggies were fresh. Tomato and pickle flavors fit well the burger. Even with the amount of mayo and juices on the bun it survived until it met it's end in my belly.
It was served along with a choice of sides. Today I chose the French Fries and the choice turned out to be the right one. Solid thick and long burger sized fries. Cooked to perfection. I could come here and order just the fries and a drink and be happy.
Also had a Coke to go with the burger. It's a good Coke out of a fountain. Tastes just right. Served in a large branded cup. You're not walking away from here thirsty.
On the whole I would say no single person will leave hungry. Two people could probably split a burger and still leave satisfied.
Inside Burger-Board the theme is totally great beach shack appearance. Pacifica Pedro Point hand painted mural on one wall. Buger dude mural on the other wall. Surf, sand, sea life, and feet prints mural on the floor shows you the ways to the counter. Surfboards tables to enjoy your meal. A few TVs on the wall for sports and other things. Outside they made the right decision to keep the tables and chairs. Great to bring the family dogs and hang out with a Hill side Pedro Point Headlands view in the temperate Pacifica weather.
One the points I look at in a place is the bathroom. Burger-Board carried on the surf side theme into the bathroom too. One of the cutest on the coastline. Obviously super clean sine this place is new. You can send your kids back without a worry.
There is more stuff on the Burger-Board menu I will be back to try. Including Shakes, Floats, hot dogs, and beer. Looking forward to...
Read moreI normally dont even bother to write bad reviews but this time I was shocked of how horrible they treat customers. They add extra charges by default, the girl who takes order tried to charge me for more expensive burger while we were talking about different one, I noticed and she fixed it, then when I asked to substitite sauce for another, she never mentioned would be an extra charge, I noticed on my receipt and asked her. Her answer was that she forgot to mention and receipt didnt specify that additional charge either. But when I received alert from the bank I saw that my transaction was higher than receipt showed. Upon checking with the restaurant I was told that there is a charge to use a card but yet again noone even mentions that, the girl just doesnt care whatsoever to explain it. When speaking to a manager I understood why she has no sense of customer service, because he does not whatsoever. He wasnt listening to my concern saying that it's not his problem that I've been charged by the machine and that I wasnt told about any additional charges. Being in the customer service for over 10 years myself I was so shocked that people like that still in business. I give 1 star only for the burger I had, salad was saggy. Read moreNo more RESPECT or TRUST. I am allergic and don’t eat bacon. They bring the wrong order filled with bacon. I returned the burger asking the cashier to inform the cook that I’am allergic and don’t eat bacon, please make a fresh one and don’t recycle the bunn or patty since they pretty greasy from the bacon. I made sure to witness the cashier informing the cook that. You guessed it!!! The cook didn’t give a fu@k. Same bunn but burnt, same cold patty full of bacon grease. I know this is not a big deal for bacon lover however, it’s the concept of trusting a place or a cook with your health and they disregard. I consider myself a regular. I got wrong orders many times with no bacon. I eat them no complaints. I saw the cooks drinking beer by the grill numerous time, It was no problem for me till today. Makes me wonder what other health codes they disregard. I leave it to my imagination. For the manager or owner, Make the kitchen area visible for customers or hold your cooks accountable. Please.
