This place DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! It had been on my radar for a while but due to covid, I put off coming here. We decided to go on a hike and the kids were starving after I made them climb some pacifica hills. Beautiful view but worth them burning some energy on a sunday morning. We drove by and small line (you know its good when there is a line). Walked in and ordered, first pleased with all the colors in the place - menu was easy to read, lots of variety (something for everyone) and the cural wall was a nice local touch. Ambiance was nice and friendly while the staff hustled to take care of the patrons. Kids ordered plain bagel with cream chese, turkey sandwich, I asked the super cool manager/boss and he said their philly cheese steaks and burgers are really popular...so I got a spicy cheese steak and wow - the food did not dissapoint. Flavor from first bite to last. Nice attention to detail. I cant wait to go back again and try so many other things on the menu - highly recommend! This place is a hidden gem on the...
Read moreI have previously gone here for tea on my way to Fresh and Easy, but I was having a house guest stay and she wanted to see the beach and I was hungry so my partner suggested that we eat here and walk down to the beach afterwards.
I am gluten free so going to restaurants is sometimes a bit of a challenge. I was really craving lox and I asked for a no bagel- Bagel with lox sandwich.
The older lady at the counter was quite nice and said "Honey you can have your food any way you like" That impressed me cause normally people look at me cross eyed when I try to explain that I am gluten intolerant.
I loved the way they were happy to make it just the way I wanted (See picture I uploaded for the business). They gave a very hearty portion of lox and stacked everything in a nice presentation. I was very much a happy panda and will be back.
Also of note that impressed me was 2 of us ordred tea and we each got our own large tea pot so that that didn't have to ask for refills....
Read moreAwful nasty place. I ordered fish tacos cause they didnt have enough meat for steak and eggs, they said (but you could order steak philly sand or anything else with mear??). Well, I am glad I ordered "fried" tacos, otherwise I would've eaten a frozen meal; the flour tortillas they used were all stiff and COLD! The "sauce" was something not spicy, flavorless that I could not even identify. They only put on top of the fish strips (were more breading than fish) a little sliced lettuce and scarce tomato cubes (good luck finding any). Fries were decent. My cinnamon apple crepe was so mediocre; flavorless stiff crust, baked apple inside was good, but so little! Ice cream that came with it was little, already melting. Hubby ordered eggs and sausage (disgusting really salty potatoes and worst quality sausage). I ended up paying $58 + $7 tip (yes, they make you pay first, so you can no regret). How you even dare to...
