The Clayson House is a well maintained historical museum with beautiful landscaping and is rich in local history. My garden club (Plum Grove Garden Club) bought and has shared planting them with the Palatine Garden Club for many years. They have nice events that are open to the public.

Interesting little find on Google. It was relatively nearby so we thought we'd check it out. Lot of history in this house. It was nothing thays gonna knock your socks off but at the same time, it was interesting and worth our time. And, it was free.

This is one of the oldest homes with a lot of history in Palatine. In April 2016 they celebrated the 150th anniversary of Palatine and buried a time capsule out front. For those who will be around in 50 years, they are planning on opening this up. Great place to visit and learn of the history...
