I went here and kissed a pancake, and felt the same way.

Now every time I drive by I remember that moment; in the same way that certain scents bring back warm memories of places or people from my childhood.

That pancake was just like the rest of them, but somehow different. It will forever have a piece of my soul, and i will always love it, and it's fleeting memory.

I should probably keep studying for finals now...

I have returned to the Bread and Butter Cafe for mothers day lunch. I realized that I was so enamored by the pancake during the extent of my prior visit that I was not cognizant of the fact that they DO NOT serve bread and butter.

After asking the waiter for bread and butter today, he replied to us that they "only serve crackers."

At first I thought it was very cheap, and dodgy to not serve bread and butter at the Bread & Butter Cafe. But it's also very bold and for that I respect them.

Despite all odds, the fact that they do not serve bread and butter has caused my affinity for the establishment to grow.

The B&B Cafe is the boldest diner that I know for not serving bread and butter and it is an exemplification of an indomitable force within Palatine.

I was having a great morning and called in to place an order. 2 mins later I realized I had made a mistake and walked in to get it corrected. The nice young girl said it’s ok and corrected it. They then gave me the wrong order. I came back to let them know and the same young girl corrected it. Everything was not perfect but I was ok with that.

A few mins went by and an old lady named Elsa showed up and told me that she has to throw food out because it’s my fault. I explained the situation and for some reason she kept arguing telling me it’s not nice to throw food out. She explained they had already made all the food but that was incorrect because we still waited 13 mins in the cafe area… when I told her that she said she didn’t see us… it was a very awkward unpleasant situation.

The young girl had already fixed it and even the kitchen area was already working to fix it but Elsa’s big mouth came out just to argue. I understand if she was having a bad day but it was her responsibility to make it right and she only made it worse.

We wasted so much time arguing with her that we decided to get a refund…after a total of almost an hour lost, we came out of that place with nothing to eat and just absolutely upset. I really hope someone contacts us to make it right since we plan to also take this review to social media in a video format.
