I have been shopping here for the past 9 years. David has been instrumental in helping me start my collection, has provided good recommendations on stories to dive into and has been a wealth of knowledge on the industry as a whole. The shop offers a free pull list option, which is great for reserving books that you definitely want on a monthly basis. The store has a free-to-join rewards program. You earn points based on dollars spent that provides discounts on future purchases. The store is smaller, but has a large selection. They have comics, trade paperback collections, omnibuses and a bunch of collectibles. You're likely to find something you're looking for or something new that you weren't expecting. If they don't have something you're looking for, they will look and see if it can be ordered and shipped to the store.
The additions of Josh and Jay have been a big value add to the store. Their coming onboard has provided the ability to extend the store's hours of operation, the inventory is more organized and accessible and they provide an extra level customer service and perspective on new reading to check out. They are expanding their usage/communication of social media to keep people up-to-date on comic news and in-store offerings/sales. They have set up the ability to use an online pull list tracking system, League of Comic Geeks, which allows you to manage your pull lists and link it to the store.
Getting into comics can be daunting, but this team is great at understanding their customers and finding good fits for what to read. I really enjoy shopping here and look forward to what the future...

I've NEVER seen it open on time, seeing it still closed an hour to 3 hours after the listed open time. Sometimes, not opening at all the whole day, with no mention of it on their website or on a note in the window.
Most recently I went there at 3:35pm, on a day it was listed to open at 3pm. It was closed, and there were 2 people waiting in their running cars, glancing up at the store every so often. I went next door to get a hot dog, and watch to see when they would open. Over the course of an hour and a half, the store never opened up. People continued to sit in their cars and eagerly wait for if/when the owner would decide to show up. Their dead-eyed, hopeless stares really makes you wonder why these customers put up with such disrespect. Other smart people came, waited 10 minutes, and left.
I'm not sure how the store even stays in business. It's cluttered, dingy, and racks are overfilled with bent books. But, apparently you just need to give some customers a discounted book, so they can save $5, to make them forget about their wasted gas money and 2 hours of their life they spent staring at a CLOSED sign.
Save your time and money and drive a little further to any reputable...

The graphic novels are neatly organized by company and alphabetized as well. They stock the latest new comics from all the major publishers and have wall to wall toys, statues, and action figures.
Beyond Tomorrow also has a great membership club that is free to sign up for, and they offer discounts/sales all the time on merchandise.
What made the visit all the more exciting was finding an educational comic printed by the Center for Public Domain of Duke University. I recently interviewed the professor who runs the Center and was blown away to find a physical copy of the comic.
Any opportunity that you have to stop by this store is worth it. Trust me when I say that True Believers.
Update: I visited the store yesterday for their Memorial Day 2024 sale. After some browsing I walked out with three excellent graphic novels at a very affordable price. Thank you Beyond Tomorrow, for having such a fantastic...
