The "Original" JJ Twigs Pizza & Pub — Restaurant in Palatine Township

I really love this JJ Twig! Their pizza is phenomenal! It is always delicious, crispy, and the sauce of it is on fire! From the toppings, sauce, and to the crust of the pizza, all of it is consistently delicious. Worth to try again and again. Their pizza is way better and cheaper compared to other pizza from other stores around the area. They also have other food that will surely satisfy your cravings and definitely fill you up. You can literally order and try everything on their menu without breaking your pockets because they are so fair and reasonable in terms of pricing. All of the food on the menu is very affordable. They also have burgers, chicken, fries, drinks, etc. You will absolutely all of the food here. I also highly recommend to try their double decker pizza. It is so tasty and very unique. It has a big portion and the sauce of it is so delicious. Great pizza I have ever had. It is made to perfection, so crispy, and well done. This JJ Twig is always my place to go in this area for some quality pizza. The customer service here is very friendly and quick. They serve the orders in such a right amount of time. I brought my family here after my grandson's soccer win ⚽️🏆! Yea Go Chile 🇨🇱!!! Lol The service was good and the wings were phenomenal. Our server Natalie was awesome and very attentive. This was our first time dining in, but had ordered from here once before. I have to say I was a little disappointed in the cleanliness of the establishment atmosphere. It was a bit empty, outside of us and another couple. There were crumbs under all the tables at the end of the dining room, and there was a taped up broken window (I'm not sure how long it's been that way). My daughter's Caesar salad had too many croutons and the breaded chicken strips were dry, so she didn't want it. We had to sit there for 15 minutes for them to remove the salad from our bill and they were not happy about it. I was told by the server that she couldn't remove the salad from the meal and that we had to wait until a manager actually came to the restaurant to remove it. The manager, Todd, was actually very pleasant about the situation and took the critism and the floors well. If you want to try the pizza and wings, I would suggest them because they are great. I recently had lunch at the Original JJ Twigs on NW Hwy in Palatine.

The medium sized Hawaiin Pizza (BBQ sauce, pineapple chunks and ham) was delicious. Service was friendly.

Two parts of my visit I didn't enjoy (which costs them one star each):

The pizza took a very long time to make, around 45-ish minutes. When we came into the restaurant on a Friday at noon, we were the only customers there. Unless JJ does something very unique with their pizzas (like not having a chef or waiting 20 minutes before putting it in the oven), it shouldn't take anywhere near that long.

TVs everywhere in that place, very distracting. This place doesn't bill itself as a sports bar, so they shouldn't have any TVs.

So, the big question: would I go back and eat in? Go back for carry out only. Eat in...never until they throw out all those freakin' TV sets and figure out a way to make...
