South Ridge Park is truly amazing for parents with littles. It offered an incredible range of activities for kids to enjoy and explore, both independently and collaboratively. Our one and half year old never sat down once! The park was well-maintained and provided plenty of options for play, including swings, slides, climbing structures (think parkour), sandboxes and more. During the summer they even have a huge splash pad!!
The environment created by this wonderful playground encouraged kids to be creative in their playtime while also promoting physical activity through fun games like tag or hide-and-seek. I especially appreciated how much emphasis there seemed to be on developing independent skills among the younger visitors – they were given opportunities to make decisions about where they wanted to go or what equipment they wanted use without adult guidance or interference.
Overall it was a delightful experience that my family won't soon forget! We would highly recommend this children's park as an excellent option for families looking for great ways keep their little ones active while having loads of fun at...
Read moreMy kids had a great time at the splash pad and the ninja warrior course was fun, too. I love that there is turf on the playground instead of wood chips because my kids liked running from the splash pad into the park and back without having to put on and take off shoes. It was very sunny and hot, and I was expecting the equipment in the playground to be hot, but the teeter totter, for instance, was just slightly warm. This made it easy for my kids to play on the playground while still wearing swimsuits. I also like that the bathroom has actual flush toilets with sinks and hand soap, as opposed to just a portable toilet. There are even changing stations in the bathrooms, in case you have any littles still in diapers. I wish there was a little more shade, but we were prepared and slathered on the sunscreen. Overall a fun place to spend...
Read moreThis park is wonderful! My sister lives nearby so we took my grandkids here, ages 3, 5, and 10. They all just loved it and didn't want to leave.
The obstacle couse is a unique, and well designed feature which they all loved. The splash pad area was perfect for all ages. There is plenty of grassy area to sit on if the Pavillion tables are full. The main play areas include a large structure and another smaller one for younger kids, again, they had a blast on these as well.
The locations of the grassy areas gives a good view of most of playground. You can bring chairs, picnic lunch etc and spend the day. There is no fee to get in.
There are 2 large bathrooms that were clean plus a place outside to fill cups and bottles with drinking water.
We'll...
