We have lived in South Barrington for around 4 years and pass this place all the time. I thought it was an outdoor rec supply place and never bothered looking further. After finding out it was a running store I went in the buy new shoes today. I usually go to roadrunner or fleet feet, but wanted to give this place a shot since it was in the neighborhood. I'm glad I did. Hillary helped me and was EXCEPTIONAL. You know how sometimes you're interested in a bunch of different shoes because you're not sure what to get, and then the sales associate begrudgingly goes back and forth 10 times to bring out the shoes to show you becuase they don't want to actually bring everything out and help you. This is not that place. Hillary brought out six or seven different boxes/brands at the same time for me to try and navigate what was best. She was amazing! I was kind of surprised becuase this is the kind of service you usually get at more of a high end boutique/designer shop - where they bring out a bunch of things for you to try to help you find the right thing. They were also relatively busy when I walked in and someone contacted me within 30 seconds letting me know they would be right with me. Not only that, I didn't have to follow up to get that help I was promised. When Hillary was done she immediately came over to my location and started helping. Her knowledge, patience, and understanding for helping customers stood out. She made sure I understood the differences between models and fit, ensuring I got exactly what I needed for my comfort and support.

While I ultimately found a discontinued color on Hoka’s website at a lower price, I still walked away extremely grateful for the experience and expertise Maureen provided.

Went at the recommendation of my physical therapist to get new walking shoes. I broke my ankle 5 months ago, have swelling from edema & used to have plantar fasciitis so I wanted expert attention to get the right shoe. I was greeted right away and helped very professionally by Gia. The “Albert” scale demonstrated the shape of my foot and arch, I walked on the treadmill which they recorded and viewed to understand my gait - then she lent me socks & suggested four different shoes. All were comfortable and stylish. I bought my favorite pair & ended up getting a few pairs of the socks. A little on the pricey side but so worth the cost of getting the right fit with a thorough measurement system. I was in and out in under 30 minutes....
