First visit to this new local establishment 6/12/22. Had high hopes and ended up with mediocre meal and even less than that of front staff service (waiter was a good guy).
We had a group of 5 and were repeatedly offered a 4 person booth with 5th chair on side. You can hear staff talking trash about our request, so unprofessional. This is stupid because plates are huge so unless you were going to hold your plate in your lap seemed like a terrible experience to endure. We asked for 2 tables pushed together but that seemed like we were not speaking English. Result was a table pushed next to a booth and good thing as plates took up that whole space. Front staff gets a grade F in my book. Not friendly or knowledgeable in how to manage a full house which they are luckily to have at this time but I doubt for long.
Food was very bland (coffee sucked) and overpriced (5 people with a bill of $80 before tip and that's with waiter comping the beverages as order was not filled as placed is too much for a random breakfast place in a corner of a strip mall) everything tasting same so not much separation in flavors if any. Might as well blend your meal and that is what it tasted like.
Not a repeat or recommend to waste your money at for this business. Ihope or Dennys are way better, much cheaper and more worth your hard earned dollars...
Read moreThis is such a really nice brunch restaurant that I visited in this area. I was looking for a spot and I found myself here. It is not my first time here, and in fact, I also liked it the first time I went in here, so I think that it was a good choice to come here for a quick brunch. The server at my table was nice, friendly, and accommodating. They really have a huge selection on their menu, and everything seemed really good, so I took my time deciding what to order, and the server was very patient with me. I wanted something heavy for my brunch, so I ended up ordering their specialty skillet, which is the Mr. Breakfast, and a hot café Americano. The service is fast too. The restaurant is also clean, and it has a nice, laid-back atmosphere and vibe. The prices are reasonable and the servings are generous, just like the serving in the skillet I ordered. The skillet was delicious. In terms of flavor, it tastes really good and is definitely satisfying. Everything was cooked perfectly, including the egg, according to my request. I also liked the gravy, and for me, it brightened up the whole meal. The café Americano I ordered for a drink was not bad either. Overall, I pretty much had a really...
Read moreOur review of Mr. Breakfast We happened to come across Mr. Breakfast from a google search of "great breakfast places in northern IL." This diamond in the rough is located in the corner of a strip mall. The outside was nice, and the inside was beautifully decorated. Upon enrty, we were immediately greeted and sat in a nice cozy booth. The waitress approached in a very timely manner and asked for our drink order, we got an orange juice and a coffee. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and tasted perfect, and the coffee was fresh and hot! We ordered the buiscuits and gravy and the country fried steak. When our meals came out to our wonderful supprise the restaurant has american fries, which are harder to find these days. The buiscuits tasted fresh and homemade, the country fried steak was delicious, and tasted like it had just been freshly battered, and the eggs were cooked to perfection The price of the meal was cheap, and you received a lot! We rate this restaurant a 10 out of 10, we highly recommend it to all of our family and friends, and WE...
