Read moreHonestly if I could I would give the concession stand a 0 today. I have been coming here for years and today the service was beyond unacceptable. Maybe it is because the owner/manager was not present. I get snocones because it is the only place close without me having to drive to the city or buy supplies to make my own. My sons and I wanted snocones today so I said I would pick them up some. My seven year old only likes juice so he wanted juice only. Prior to ordering I asked if it could be done they said yes. I also asked if I could get the bubble lids since I would be driving them back to my son. They again said, yes. I paid $4.44 each for the snow balls and rounded it to $15.00 to tip them. They bring me out 2 snocone cups only, no lids one with a little juice and no lid the other regular no lid. I ask where is my other snocone? They act clueless of what I am talking about and try to ignore me until the cashier who is now running around coughing with no mask on tells the girl who ignores me, I told you that it was two orange and strawberry. She continues to ignore the request and tell him to make it. I say tell him to wash his hands(mind you he was just coughing). All of a sudden a latino woman comes from the back yelling why did you give her extra( referring to the less that 1/8 cup of juice they squirted in a cup for my seven year old and charged full price for). I say, excuse me I paid for that $4.44 because my son wanted juice they gave me nothing extra. She rolls her eyes and says they shouldn't be giving you extra. As if she has heard nothing I said. So we are now stereotyped as the black person that wants something free( no you are wrong for the record I paid full price). She then begins to yell that she should not be giving me a to go lid. This is my last time purchasing a snocone from Twin Lakes. It's truly sad how people treat people who spend their hard earned money. You will not get anymore of my service. Thank you to the manager or owner that took time on a previous visit to even show my son how the snocones are made. You and your son were kind. The people there today I hope you train them on how to treat ALL people. I am sure it is as a color thing because the lady that ignored sure knew how to treat her little girls that she served prior to serving me. Rude to the max is what I would call the workers today. What a memory to have on...
Read moreEverytime I come here I am disappointed in the experience as an angler. Some the fault of management and some the fault of the people who visit. Anglers cannot use the paddle boats to fish from or kayaks. There were 2 small fishing boats for rent however the park has done away with them. Then bank fishing is kind of a joke. Your fee is $4 a day to fish for residents $5 non but I don't see any of that money being spent on restocking the lake as the fishing gets proggesively worse every season. Come to think of it hardly anybody pays the fee to fish. I see people pull up and fish without paying almost every time I visit. Maybe this is why they don't restock here, no funding. The paddle boaters can and will ruin your good time by crossing your line and just overall invading your space. Most boaters are completly oblivious to anglers. There is almost no structure in this lake and it's basically featureless if you don't count the few fishing piers. It's overcrowded leaving hardly any room to roam the banks and fish especially on weekends. If the program catered more to anglers I would understand the fee but this lake is poorly managed from an anglers perspective and should be free to fish. That's all it is worth. It could have a great draw and appeal like three oaks recreation if it were a better fishery and regularly stocked but the commerants have decimated the population of bait fish and small bass in this lake. I do not recommend this overpopulated and undermanaged lake to fish. I cannot speak to the rest of the park and its programs however except for the concession stand. It to is overpriced and of...
