Deerwood Bonita Lakes Park — Attraction in Palmetto Bay

My son goes for summer camp, the staff are very friendly and are great with the kids. Park has an great playground for the kids of all ages. Great fields for baseball, soccer and a basketball court. Place is clean and well kept, bathroom as well. Keep up the great work guys. I also seen a small group of people attending a exercise class for $2-$4 per class outside ( not associated with the park). The park does offer exercise classes for seniors citizens. Awesome park but the playground is very outdated and has sand fyi! My kids still love it either way and I appreciate the shade above the playground for sure.

I will say most importantly the park is maintained very clean, the bathrooms too and honestly/ it’s such a sweet spot for those within the neighboring area. We come out here just to run the fields and toss the ball around with our boys. Lastly it must be made mention- the park manager is exceptional here! I look forward to them changing the sand to mulch but this playground needs to be throughout cleaned or updated. Thank goodness the kids have imagination. The current sand is so dirty but most kids don't care. As a parent, that closely monitors my child and surroundings. The only sand I want to deal with is at the beach. Looking forward to...
