What's not to love? Its a beautiful park with basketball courts, a stage where there's concerts a few times a year, car shows, seafood fests, and multiple family friendly events throughout the year. Oh I know what's not to love (ya listening city hall?) The playground is great for the kids but its straight DIRT instead of mulch or shell, gravel, ANYTHING BUT dirty sand. So plan on closed toe shoes for yourself and your kids otherwise you're going to look like you've been hanging out at the circle k barefoot. Also there's a really cool historical park next to the playground with the original post office, school house, agricultural museum, etc. The library is caddy corner from the playground too and has some great stuff for kids like interactive games and of course books. Read moreThe play area is nothing but black dirty sand also the restrooms are very unsanitary because the homeless live at the park and use the facilities to take baths and whatever else they do in there also when I used the park for one afternoon for my Childs birthday party i was charged 200.00 dollars so Sutton park has been taken over by the homeless just like Riverside park where the homeless pass out on the ground and on the playground equipment throw dirty diapers in the splash park. Read moreI visited this park with children three weekends in a row. Very decent park. Nice open space where kids and run around. Relatively clean and functional restrooms and trash receptacles. Nice children's playground. Adequate parking. Conveniently located in historic district. The problem is the indigents that are "hanging around" the perimeter of the park.
