Java N Jive — Restaurant in Palmetto

Great customer service. I had a chocolate malt, which I haven't had in years and it was so good, I can't even explain it, because I'd be censored. They used chocolate ice cream and Ghirardelli chocolate syrup...oh my.

They have ice cream, coffee - any kind you can get at a fancy coffee shop only better, teas, shakes, malts, sweets like cake and pies. Yes, it's a little slice of heaven and it's attached to the Palmetto Popi's with a walk thru section towards the back.

I did one of my book launches there and they were very accommodating. I heard nothing but good comments on everything everyone ordered.

I will recommend this to anyone who wants a great place to meet up with friends, or just go single for a cup of Joe...in any form. I may even write part of Book Two...

It was very difficult finding this place from the street. Didn't know it was located within poppos. When you walk in, it immediately gave a diner feel. We sat at the counter and they had a variety of expresso drinks and specials. Brooke was super sweet and attentive. The coffees she made us were good. We also ordered a breakfast sandwich that was average.

PROS: Brooke was great! She gave us a punch card which with purchases you earn a free coffee. Price was inexpensive. Variety of specialty coffee drinks and big menu. Cute outdoor seating area.

CONS: Difficult to see from street, counter needed wiping down, loud (not there fault) since it was busy.

Coffee was pretty good, we had some signature espressos and they are the reason for three stars vs two. Atmosphere and building were mediocre, the picture of Java and Jive make the place seem more fun and quaint than it is. Our server was very nice, although not very friendly and isn’t very great at the job. The rest of the staff weren’t very friendly either. Food was NOT great. Very greasy and plain. Wasn’t worth the money imo. We ended up only eating about half of it. Won’t likely be back nor would...
