Rinconada Park is easily one of the best public parks in the area, especially for a family day out. We came here for a picnic after visiting the Junior Museum next door, and it was the perfect way to round out our adventure. Here’s a quick breakdown of what makes this park so great: For the Kids: The playground is fantastic. It's large, updated, and has plenty of swings and different structures to keep kids of all ages busy and happy. For Picnics & Parties: There are lots of picnic tables available, many with grills ready for use. You'll find plenty of open, grassy space to spread out a blanket. Amenities & Cleanliness: A huge plus is how well-maintained everything is. The park is very clean, and most importantly for parents, the bathrooms are also impressively clean. It’s a nice playground located next to Palo Alto Junior Zoo & Museum. Having this near the zoo is like having a big and fun waiting area while waiting for our turns to enter the zoo. Or, if your child still hasn’t had enough time in the zoo and doesn’t want to go home, take him here to let him burn his energy.

Beautiful children's park. Extremely nice layout with plenty of activities. Park benches with bbq grills outside. Restrooms are clean. The large trees provide plenty of shade. It's next door to the museum so it's good if you're not able to enter the zoo and museum and still save the disappointment for the kids. This place is a saving grace. Both my 3 and 6 yr old girls...
