Stunning desert landscape! I was nervous at first because this place looked like a world-class golf course and I am definitely not a world-class golfer. Luckily this short course ended up being wildly fun and well suited to our group which was made up of varying experience levels. Each hole presented unique and fun challenges: Rolling hills, beautifully landscaped sand/water features, citrus trees heavy with fruit and majestic saguaros with little humming birds buzzing around. As wonderful as the course was, the most challenging “hole” was the miserably grumpy pro-shop desk clerk Chris who took our payment on arrival. The very sight of our smiling faces walking through the door seemed to have ruined his day - his attitude was actually hilariously rude. (I wish him the best with whatever he’s going through.) I contemplated only leaving 4 stars but Chris’ “mean mug” spiced things up a bit and made our day extra memorable. An ancient proverb tells us there cannot be light without darkness; So in spite of our initial greeting this really was a fantastic course and I can’t wait to return the next time we visit Paradise Valley.

I booked tee times at this course for my husband’s birthday 2 years ago and we had such a good time, we’re going back for his birthday again next weekend! The course is beautiful and each hole is fun to play in a different way. It’s especially enjoyable for me, as a beginner golfer, because every hole is a par 3. I was actually able to hit the green from the tee on a few holes, which is definitely the kind of experience I usually have on longer courses… The golf carts are nicely stocked with coolers and waters, and brunch on the patio after the last hole was the perfect way to wrap up a round. Can’t wait to be back soon!

I am a mortgage lender and sometimes I need a quick course to play with clients/business partners with varying skill levels. The short course is great for all experience levels and you can bust out 18 holes in 2-2.5 hours so you don’t eat up your entire work day. Beautiful community and amazing views as well. Great staff and little cafe/bar. Drink cart comes around about 3 times during your round as well. Everyone on the course, including golfers, are friendly. Hands down my favorite course in Scottsdale and great way to clean up your iron/putting game

Great course but such a shame the staff/customer service was terrible!

We played a round this morning and was super excited to play because the photos looked amazing! We were greeted by Jimmy who was fantastic and a nice welcome to the course. Unfortunately, our experience turned terrible almost immediately after we walked back outside to get our bags loaded on the cart because we were rudely welcomed by their starter who said his name is “Yancy with a Y” but couldn’t confirm because his name tag was hidden under a towel the entire time he was around us. He was such in a horrible mood and took it out on us while we were getting started. Such a waste because the course is so beautiful and we did enjoy playing it but would not recommend because of Yancy. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND playing at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club instead because we played a round there right after and all the staff there that greeted us immediately were beyond friendly and welcoming AND the course is beautiful and in...

I was looking for a fun course to play with my daughter and her friend that was reasonably priced and not overly difficult to the point where it took the fun out of it. The short course at Mountain Shadows turned out to be an excellent choice! The prices were reasonable, the service was superb and the course was in really great shape. It’s an all par three course. The greens were in as good of shape as any top rated local course in the greater Phoenix area. The tee boxes were a little rough but it looked like they were working on improving them. Overall this was a really fun experience. We will definitely play this...
