Skate Country — Attraction in Parkersburg

Went with 3 other friends of mine at the 7:30 PM- 9:30 PM skate and about an hour and thirty into skating someone ended up falling and getting hurt. Ems ended up showing up at the scene. This isn’t the issue. After I asked for re-imbursement for the delay and the mildly traumatic experience the employee was extremely rude and short with me not even apologizing for the inconvenience and exchanging me dirty looks. The blood on the ground was still stained on the floor and when I complained I was told “it was taken care of” as he then shrugged at me. I had already been stopped once with my skates because the wheels were I guess weird mind You a week prior my shoes were not a problem as I then had to get down and show him They were fine. Would’ve been good but not my first bad experience if it wasn’t the only skating rink in town with smooth floors I would never come back. This place sucks and the employees are unkind,unwelcoming,unprofessional,short, and They don’t give any care in the world for Your experience this place is just a retirement money pit for some guy and his grouchy employees (photo of the blood stain below that people were skating over) absolutely disgusting. Looks like hepatitis to me not to mention in the girls bathroom 3 of the stalls have only a 4 foot wall for privacy and are wide open and one is protected with A SHOWER CURTAIN. The theft issue is so bad the kids vaping out in the open is terrible and not to mention this place is like the wwa championship of wrestling for the teenagers in town not to mention I was barked at by one kid. I give it a 2 because the skate floor is in good shape. Other than that, it could use some work. The bathrooms have no doors for privacy and short walls for the toilets. The arcade games were not on the entire time I was there. Food and drinks are cheap but they don't have much to offer. The floors were dirty. They do a lot of special things through the skate that most people can not partake in. It was meant for the more experienced skaters. While I understand there are different levels of talent, there should not be 8 or more times people have to sit on sides for it. They pay just as much as anyone else to get in. While the regular skate goes on not much control for people cutting and weaving between other skaters even though it is a posted rule not to do. At the end of the night they stopped at 1020 for people to turn in skates and leave even though they are open until 1030. I know it's only 10 minutes, but should be open till it is closed...

Visited yesterday for a birthday party and wouldn't go back under any circumstances. The bathroom was disgusting! There were 3 toilets in the girl's bathroom yet 2 were without doors, had low walls and the top of the low walls (that don't even cover your face when sitting on the toilet!) were covered in dust! The third toilet had a shower curtain as the "door" and had zero light over the area once you closed it. Then you have to HAND CRANK the paper towels and the faucet only had a cold water knob! 🤢🤮 The skating floor wasn't in great shape and while we rented the game room for the party none of the games were even turned on for the duration of the 2 hr event! Very disappointed in this establishment. Get some real stall doors, a proper faucet, and some motion activated...
