Mi Casa Mexican Food — Restaurant in Pasadena

This is a great little family Mexican restaurant!!! We gave it a try for lunch with some folks from our church on a Sunday. They accommodated our large group with grace and efficiency.

It's a no frills, family run place with tasty food for really reasonable prices. We were very happy with our experience in all aspects. They even took our friend's plate back to the kitchen to keep it warm for her just because she was away from the table for a minute when the food came out. What great service! It's what you might expect if you were a guest in someone's home.

Another favorite moment for me was when a regular customer came in, and seeing our large group, he paused. Just as soon as he stopped to consider this unexpected predicament... a young lady came out of the kitchen and greeted him with part of his usual order in her hand. She told him, "Mom saw you coming and said, "Matt is here!"

What a heartwarming thing to see! If you become a regular, they will know your name and mom will have your usual order going before you even have time to sit down.

As mentioned on Yelp. We ended up eating here by accident but it turned out being an amazing experience. The gentleman taking the orders was very helpful in giving my boyfriend and I recommendations. I had told him that I was new to green sauces and he gave us a sample. Let me tell you, that green sauce was delicious! Once we got our food I asked the lady serving us if she could give me more green sauce. She was very polite and such a sweet heart! Normally my boyfriend and I never finish a burrito but this food was super tasty. We ending up finishing all of our food (it’s a first). We will definitely be returning here.

A lovely experience and reenergizing meal after walking for hours at the Rose Bowl Flea. The hostess was inviting and friendly. We eat at a lot of food trucks here in the valley, so it was refreshing to have a nice sit down meal and with even better quality! The food tastes clean and the tacos, beans and rice I ate were incredibly tasty with lots of flavor. Super reasonably priced for this quality. I can't wait to go back.
