UPDATE 4-27-2019: It has been 64 days since my phone screen was replaced (still under the 90 day warranty) and two days ago my phone screen started to split from the edge of the home button and has since then continued breaking two different ways across my screen. I have kept my phone in a phone case and with a screen protector since the repair was done. I don't understand how the screen could break under a screen protector, that has never happened to me before. Today I called to check if the ONLY work that was done on my phone was covered under the 90 day warranty that they offer. I was told that it was not covered. What kind of defective products are they putting on my phone and why won't this company back up either their services/workmanship or their defective products? I will not seek their services again and DO NOT RECCOMEND them to anyone. The services I received got worse and worse every time I interacted with them. I'm only giving one star because I can't give any less.
UPDATE: My phone screen took a couple extra days to fix due to not having the correct screen. I'm still ok with the wait because they let me know in a timely manner. I was also without a phone for a total of 3 days.
First impression was a good a one! From the moment I handed my phone over I was impressed with the politeness and knowledge of the representative assisting me. I was expecting the repair to my phone's screen to be a process of several days but was surprised to find out that it would be ready by the next day (including ordering the part)! Read moreI’m writing this review because I just spent 157 for a screen replacement and it was a horrible job. The screen is literally lifting from the inside in every corner and the corner where it’s lifting the most I touched it with a sponge applicator to put the glass screen on and it cracked. I went back because they said I had a 30 day warranty for anything that was their fault which this clearly is and they said they can’t do anything unless I pay for a new screen because I put too much pressure on it which is literally medically impossible for me because I have MS and ripped tendons in both my shoulders and don’t have the strength in my hands or arms to put a lot of pressure on things. I don’t recommend people go here I usually go to Mendez cell phone repair in Pasco and he's great. Last time a similar thing happened with my brothers phone screen he told him to bring it in and immediately fixed it. I should’ve gone to him that was my mistake but I was in a hurry to get it fixed. So yes I don’t recommend this place I can’t even put a glass screen protector on to prevent further damage because the screen is not flat enough for that and never was. I broke the screen of my iphone and it was unusable.
I purchased a refurbished OEM screen (original equipment manufacturer) online from EZ Fix and then brought it to a reputable repair shop to have it installed.
Unfortunately the display showed multiple discolored bright or "burn out" spots and, more importantly, I couldn't hear anyone speak during a phone call. The technician verified the connection of the earpiece and also tried installing a brand new one, but the outcome was the same-- it did not work.
Eventually I made a service appointment with Apple. Their technician verified that an earpiece malfunction could be due to a faulty screen. I showed them the refurbished screen and both Apple's tech and the initial repair technician said that they did not believe the screen was OEM as advertised and pointed out multiple inconsistencies (missing Apple logo on flex cable, issue with a QR code etc.).
When I asked for a refund the vendor declined without any explanation why.
