I really wanted to like this place, but it unfortunately fell a bit short. The atmosphere is such a stark contrast from the aesthetic of downtown Pasco. Very swanky and Chic. The wait staff was gracious and attentive, and sat us right away. The maple old fashion was excellent, and my wife and I tried the bruschetta which was a delicious twist on a classic dish. We loved the addition of mozzarella and olives with fresh parsley; a great start to the meal! We ordered the Pasta Al Pollo E Parmigiano (or Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, as the waiter explained) and the Mushroom Ravioli. Both dishes had the same Alfredo sauce, which was sadly bland. The menu boasted a "famous" garlic parmesan sauce, however it was lacking on both fronts. The pasta was cooked perfectly and was garnished with fresh parsley, which was unfortunately all I could taste. The chicken was also dry and overcooked. The ravioli was topped with a generous blanket of white truffle oil. The understated Alfredo sauce was dominated by the bold truffle flavor, rather than complimented by it. However, the roasted pine nuts added a welcome texture and nutty flavor to the dish. Both dishes came with a bread roll which was excellent. We finished with a pistachio canoli and things only got worse. The filling was extremely sour and had a flavor I can only describe as foul. I can't imagine it was meant to taste that way. It's possible it had gone bad, or hopefully a mix up in the kitchen. We let the waiter know it tasted off, and he didn't seem concerned. This place does have potential, and I love to see East Pasco graced by a high-end restaurant, however they need to make some improvements...
Read moreImbibe ! We tried to go to the place down a few doors, I guess it is the same place because they brought ar the food in from the front door. I guess they have to walk it down from the other place. They did get us in, though. The main lady was very nice and brought a bottle of water. The atmosphere is the best thing about this place. Kind of old world meets new. Eclectic decor low lighting and a different type of Italian type menu. Really had me ready for the best. First off, the breads are amazing, as well as the sauce the bread sticks came with. The dish my wife had wasn't called chicken Alfredo, but that's what it was thought. It was good, just not great. And the steak dish i had was not cooked. How I ordered it and had just too much of whatever was on the top of it. So it was very dry, hand chewy. The flavor was there just really dry. My friend got the same, and it was the same deal. The meat balls were the highlight, little salty but great. Not for $13, but take the money out of it. They were really good. We probably should have asked for more water cause the one liter for four people wasn't enough, and they didn't ask if we wanted more. The prices are hi, but they said they don't ask for a tip on the receipt because it is priced into the food and they pay their employees more. We could leave one, of course, but it's not expected. Kid of cool, I guess. I will definitely try again sometime. Maybe it was just an off day. Definitely a nice little place that is different from everything else. Give it a shot and see what...
Read moreI think the only downside was the wait, but they had awesome oldies tunes playing and the 1 staff member was so down to earth, interactive and friendly it made the wait worthwhile. He literally took our order, cooked it and brought it to us. I had the chicken pesto melt. The outside was so crispy and the chicken nicely grilled with a delicious pesto. For dessert the wedding cake was OMG! Delicious! It came with a side of a caramel and a coconut sauce that were lightly sweet and complimented it so well. The pistachio cannoli was a little different to me, lightly sweet and a sour creamy filling and the outside was so light and flaky. It was a little pricey but worth every penny! Just know the melts don’t come with side dishes so don’t expect fries or anything...
