Tay Nails Spa — Attraction in Paterson

Went to this salon for the first time, inside is beautiful but that’s where it stops. The owner was friendly the techs were not knowledgeable and could NOT do nails. They charged me 75$ for my ten year olds nails only to fall off the VERY NEXT DAY. The experience was horrific and the nails were hideous. My nails are super lifted after a week, I had to go pay another fee just to get my nails right. 5$ for charms that literally fell off ( ALL 4… $20 total just for them) I called and left a message in detail hoping to get a response but nobody ever returned my call to this day. I would NOT recommend ANYONE who knows about nails or invests in their nail care to go here. When asked was i satisfied I said no and she didn’t even offer ( the owner) to correct what I thought was wrong. If I could give them a ZERO I would. I tipped the girls because that’s my nature when I’m being serviced. I had 3 ppl ready to go to this shop based on my review and I referred them to my regular tech Jasmine who is always busy ( the reason why I ended up here) I’ll wait next time. Shame on you tay.

To adress your comment concerning someone who is set out to basically complain. I did not , do you actually think that I would spend all that money and tip of my goal was to say bad things. I was hoping to make this my new salon but the fact that I left you a message and you never even bothered to call me back was unprofessional. Also, you guys did bring my daughter coffee..thanks! But the fact is that prior to me sitting with the untrained lady, you took me to your table but when you found out it was a refill you sent me to her… which would have been fine IF she was well trained. My daughter’s nails were OKAY until the next day when the nail fell off and the only thing that was still there was your acrylic, the charms were not adhered too correctly. I could’ve disputed the charge but I believe in paying all my debts and giving the benefit of the doubt. You could’ve made it right with one call and an offer to repair the damage yourself but you ignored my message and failed to respond. I been looking for a new nail salon 💅 that’s care about the clients more then making money. I had booked a appointment for today @ 1pm through booksy app. I get there @12:55pm and I spoke to tay telling her I have a 1 o’clock appointment.I I sat down and I waited, around 1:15pm tay cames to ask me Do I mind waiting a little longer @ this point I said yes . I also ask tay how much longer she told me as soon as the lady finish the pedicure that she was doing , I said ok . I waited and waited and I was starting to get a little upset 😠 because I booked a appointment and drove 30 minutes to get and have to wait . now it’s 2:15 pm and they finally was ready to do my pedicure. But when I tell you it was worth the wait 😍, the young lady that did my pedicure did a wonderful job . I wasn’t rush she take her time cut my nails the way that I wanted and clean them so good 😊 she take about 45 minutes just to do my pedicure, everyplace I been too it always been a rush. Now it was time for my nails 💅 to be done . So tay did my nails and she did a apologize for the inconvenience but she was so kind and nice 😊.things do happen in life and they did such a wonderful job, the atmosphere was pleasant and all her employees were very nice 😊 so I will be going back. This is not a hateful review. I want to share with you my true experience. I was told it was $45 for gel pedicure over the phone. The lady doing my nails was very nice, however, I don’t think she was an expert with doing French nails. I’m nice so I like giving people chances.

The total was completely different then what she originally told me. I know that when you get French it’s a little bit extra but they charge $15 extra just for French on top of the pedicure. I just think it’s a little bit too overpriced. I’ve never had to pay more than 5 to $7 for French. The owner is very nice, but I don’t think her prices are fair. I know people who stop coming to her because of her prices.

I would understand if it was a different type of location, but you are in the center of Paterson. There is no parking, the location does not look that well and it’s a place where people can’t afford that much. I’m grateful to be able to afford it, but I’m just speaking from another perspective standpoint.
