Century Village Pembroke Pines — Attraction in Pembroke Pines

I usually never write reviews but this is the most upset I’ve ever been in my life. I am all for making the apartment complex we live in safer. However, to sit in a line for over an hour, burning gas that will not be reimbursed is diabolical. On top of the extremely long wait, I was denied entry to my own apartment complex where I am a rightful tenant. Note to the staff, not all residents have a resident card or a bar code. Some of us have our names on the lease and have our vehicles registered, and are on the list. The bare minimum is to let us prove our identity. I am floored at how bad I was treated, I wasn’t even given the opportunity to provide any ID as I was told no bar code, no residents badge, no entrance. I then went to the club house seeking directions on how to file a complaint, I was told that because since I don’t have a residents card I cannot be given direction nor does he (the guard) know the directions in the first place(his words not mine). The replacement staff has no empathy or regard for the people living in this community. I was directed to the association by the sweet women that work at the medical center. I had to revise my review as a warning. Yesterday there was a problem at the smaller gate. There is a unprofessional security guard problem encounter, he is a medium build black man around 30 to 40 years old, security guard with a beard and a hat that was very rude, patronizing and militant yesterday working the east gate. He refused to let us in (even though our name is on the guest list) and I’ve been coming and going through that gate for many years. He said he didn’t have a list and he didn’t have to call anybody. They can have a new policy that’s fine however it was his attitude was the problem he was unprofessional and he needs to go. I’m the one that bought the condo for my mother and she’s staying there, but I am the owner and he refused to even talk to me. I was trying to explain that it’s my condo. He was abusive with my sister earlier that morning, and he was being abusive to a lot of people yesterday many people were complaining. I wouldn’t want to live somewhere when they have the staff so arrogant, rude and militant with the guests and they have a guest parking problem as well. I have been going every week sometimes twice looking for our forever home since August, 2022. I was blown away when I saw maintenance dusting the walls. Then one day I saw where they were cleaning the railings and I have also seen them bleaching the stair floors. That figures this place is so clean.

Security on the south side is on point. Although they know me by now they will still ask for the ID and my realtors business card and the address we will be visiting. I have seen the roving security multiple times as well.

The Club house is beautiful and has so many activities. It was great to see so many residents taking advantage of it. One of my favorites is the Pickle Ball courts and residents walking at all hours.

My only negatives are that guest parking is a bit slim in some buildings yet abundant in others and that some buildings have better kept landscaping than others. By that I mean that the AC units don't have hedges and most do not have mulch.
