Read moreOn dec 20 I ordered a pizza with two toppings and for some reason the order only accepted my one topping. As my boyfriend was picking up my pizza he realized it only had one topping . Note: I am the one who placed the order online. He then proceeded to call me and asked me to pull up the order on my email. In the midst of my conversation with my boyfriend he noticed Jessica Sanchez (front line worker) was recording my personal call with him. Recording our call without any notice given to me or him. Most importantly this is against Florida law not to notify the other party of the conversation being recorded. As I’ve worked in customer service for various years I have never experienced this behavior and disrespect from anyone in a store . It’s very simple to please a customer and try to make an exception - we did not expect the extra topping for free . We were willing to pay the difference . All this terrible customer service for a simple $2 -$3 charge of adding pepperoni. I am appalled at the customer service here and expect a regional manager to contact me immediately due to the incident occurred Friday Dec 20.
Reply to owner response: 12/23 Good morning,
I am very disappointed with your response as well . I don't think any employee should have their personal phone present or their AirPods on while dealing with customers. If you reviewed the footage I am pretty sure you can see this. This is not good customer service especially as a manager. Whether she was on a call or recording audio, this is not something you can confirm or deny out of a video footage . Regardless of your policy - I didn't touch the product. It was a simple pizza box which I didn't take with me either . I left the pizza behind . As a loyal customer I have always gone to this Pieology and order often, this is absurd . A $12 pizza is not worth a bad review or bad customer service experience. I have been in the customer service industry for many years and never have I given the kind of service your employee gave or response you have given me . No employee should have a phone or airpods present when handling any situation with a customer. This is something maybe your policy should...
Read moreThe rate is not for the food but for whomever Mathew Baum is that replied so unprofessionally to my email because I made a comment regarding food handling. I decided to leave a comment online. In the reply I mention everything was good up to the moment my food came out of the oven. A young lady came from outside with gloves on and proceeded to cut our pizza with the same gloves she came outside with and touched door without once washing hands or changing her gloves. I had to ask her to change her gloves. I received a reply by email stating I had "jumped to conclusions". I was waiting for my food next to the register. This young lady came from outside!! If she was delivering food(serving) to people seated, that is what she should be doing! Not touching the food coming out of the oven. You should have a different person posted doing that job!!! And they had enough staff to do so that day!! I'm not one go to the extreme but so many people get sick(stomach virus, HepA, salmonella, etc.. from food handlers that I thought I would bring it up to their attention for future reference. See below the email I received from the online comment all because I mentioned I wanted to report it to the health department....
Erika,
Thanks for your email. We take sanitation very seriously and I see from your email you jumped to a lot of conclusions without really knowing much about the situation.
First of all we do require all employees to change gloves and wash hand in between doing so when touching any surface that has contact with peoples bare hands such as door handles. The employee you were referring to was delivering a pizza outside to a guest and was able to do so without touching any surfaces as our doors have push bars that we open using our backside.
Feel free to report us to whomever you feel you need to, we have exemplary records as we run a first class operation when it comes to food safety.
I am sorry you are deciding not to come back based on not your food quality or your actual experience but your ideas of what "might" have...
