We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant and won't ever be returning. We sat down and ordered our child's chicken tenders and fries when we ordered the drinks and asked for it to be brought out as soon as it was ready. It took 30 minutes for the tenders to come out. The restaurant was NOT full and there were quite a few tables open inside and outside. Our food order took over 1 hour to come out and we were never offered bread or anything of the sort, the waiter checked on our table once within that hour, when he brought out the kid's food. During the time waiting, we needed drink refills and ice and we had to walk inside to ask for it bc all of the servers were hanging out inside. A little bit after bringing the tenders out, they brought out the food for 1 of the adults, who ate by herself. The rest of us waited another 15-20 minutes for our dinner. Then they brought out the plates for 3 other members of our party, and I still had to wait 5-10 minutes for my food. The food was definitely not what we expected, especially considering the prices. My steak was $45 and was 3 tiny pieces with maybe 6 mushrooms (picture attached). The steak and sauce it was covered in was suuper salty and the mashed potatoes were totally unsalted. The 2 people that got the fish were very disappointed with the meal and said the shrimp was unflavorable and hard and the calamari tasted like a rubber tire. I always have food to take home when I go out to eat and I was still hungry after dinner. They obviously tack on a 20% service charge for a party of 6 or more... all around it was a very unpleasant experience... barely being checked on and asked how we were, if we needed anything, all of the food being brought out at different times and us not being able to eat together as a party, us having to search for the wait staff to get basic things and the ridiculous prices. Very disappointed and wishing we had chosen another restaurant. 😔

We came to Casa España Tapas y Vinos after seeing it all over TikTok, and let me tell you, my taste buds went on a vacation, but my patience went on a permanent business trip. First, the good stuff! The moment we walked in, I felt like I needed to check my passport. The place is drop-dead gorgeous—it's like they plucked a Spanish villa and dropped it right here. Then came the food. The garbanzo frito con jamon Serrano was a crispy, salty dream. I'm pretty sure I heard angels singing. And the paella con camarones? A masterpiece. It was so flavorful and loaded with shrimp that it felt less like a meal and more like a treasure chest. We finished with the crema Catalana, and it was so good it almost brought a tear to my eye. My wife was in heaven. The chef deserves a standing ovation and maybe a statue. Now for the not-so-good, which I'll call the "Rigoberto Experience." Our waiter, Rigoberto, was like a ninja—he appeared, took our order, and then vanished into thin air. We didn't see him again until we had to send out a search party (a.k.a. another waiter) to bring us the check. My water glass was emptier than my wallet after that meal, and it was the kindness of strangers (other waiters) that kept me from perishing of thirst. It's a shame, because everything else was top-tier. So, would I go back? For the food, absolutely. But next time, I'm bringing a camel with me for the water and a flare gun to signal for the check. Rigoberto, if you're reading this, please come back. My water glass misses you.

I was waiting for my teen daughter who had a work meeting at 9pm. I was in huge rush to use a ladies room and this place was OPEN. Waiter was serving a table so I quietly and quickly went on the way to the restroom. The waiter screamed at me in front of the guests from that table saying that the restaurant was closed. I asked for the bathroom. He said I need to consume so I asked for a coke on which he said that the cashier was closed too. I couldn’t wait to pee so I continue my way to the restroom thought I can defuse the issue with a tip which I did. I went out as quick as possible and left the tip for him at the bar thanking him for the inconvenience. He followed me up to the door (see pic) mad at me for using the bathroom saying that the restaurant is a private restaurant? And that was closed but there were no signs of Closed there but the door was open. What amazes me is that this waiter keeps instigating me raising his voice. At this point I realized that the owners were on that table. All kept quiet supporting his unprofessional display. Never ever I have seen something like this before. I could imagine that they might have issues with the restaurant adjacent to their and I can understand but the way this waiter spoke to me was coming from a person raised in a ghetto. I would NEVER EVER change Casa Juancho or Bulla Gastrobar for this place. Thanks God it was only the bathroom. I can’t imagine if there is a complaint with the food. Beware.

First time visit. Staff was nice the Restaraunt is very stylishly decorated, inside bathroom was nice and clean and Sadly that’s where the two star rating is coming from. My lifestyle is eating in restaurants and reviewing them after in the hopes that they may get some insight on improvements. The first word is ..expensive. Holy moly this place takes no prisoners. If your looking for a moderately priced place to eat , I can recommend a few but this won’t be one of em. 45$ for a pitcher of sangria is just too much I don’t care how much you like sangria that’s just way too much. 25 to 35$ for a cutting board with slices of ham and cheese? We shared a seafood an jumbo shrimp paella for 56$. I didn’t mind that it would take 40 minutes to prepare because It made got me a bit excited to see how good it might be. Negativo’, not worth the wait or price. I do enjoy testing paella’s whenever I have the opportunity and I can tell you about a place in hialeah, of all places, that will give you one of the tastiest paella’s that won’t take 40 minutes, it’s good for two people to share an is only 20.95$ and you will leave very satisfied. My biggest peeve was how tasteless the shrimp was especially the jumbo shrimp which is actually intact prawns. which might look interesting to the inexperienced but not for me. If I would’ve known the shrimp was prawns I definitely wouldn’t have ordered that dish. Sadly the tastiest part was the yellow rice with peas and thank goodness the bread was good too. Good bread can save the worst dinners..sometimes. The bread was a lifesaver. I take no pleasure I writing a disparaging review and It makes me feel bad for the service handling the patrons because they were nice for the most part and the food wasn’t really their fault even tho I didn’t appreciate it when I tried to cancel the appetizer order less then 5 minutes after ordering it In Exchange for a soup and was told that it was already too late too change because they already prepared it. It was slices of cheese that are already prepared it and it wouldn’t have costed him anything to have changed the order. Bottom line, $150 for two people should be a much more tastier and enjoyable experience and when it isn’t..then it’s definitely going to leave a bad taste n your mouth. Like I still have . Anyway that’s my experience and that’s my review I hope some will find it useful. Good luck to all and enjoy your journey in the world of delicious...

It saddens me to write this review. I a have lot of mix feelings. I was having an extraordinary night enjoying with my family. My 2 year old daughter was invited by the the live music performers to dance with them providing her with a costum to join the show. Upto their everything was great. Then everything unfolded I was approached by a person claiming to be the owner Francisco (Paco) Bernard and was told to retrieve my my daughter that she was interrupting the show and that the performers need to continue. To my surprise I explained to him that she was invited into the show she had maintained her self at a distance until she was being invited to join the show. To this his response was he was the owner and that he was telling what to do. He walked away. I stayed calmed and informed the situation to the musicians. To my surprise the other customers who were enjoying filming my daughter dancing came up and showed support and indignation. This was followed also by the performers. Upon request to find out the name of the person claiming to be the owner in regards this review it was declined by the personel and the individual was called. He approached with and attitude said he didn't care about the reviews. He gave me his name followed by kicking me out of the restaurant and threatened with calling the police. When I expressed how low and unprofessional he was I continued to threaten with the police and he put his hands on me. To which I informed him not to touch me again or I will defend my self. He didn't seem to care for his actions and his stubbornness. No apology was made or regret was shown. His entitlement goes beyond anything I've seen before. My companions (father in law 70+) expressed their disappointment and frustration. He kicked them to. Our ticked of $270 including tip (our server was great) that we paid in full didn't get no sympathy or respect from this so claimed owner. Money is not an issue do that we are self made professionals and businesses owner. The night was not done I met the musicians outside the premises of the restaurant and was again asked for an apology in their behalf and how he also had been rude, arguing and threatened to fire them for being apologetic inside the restaurant. Other than this disrespectful, unprofessional, entitled, arrogant ,lack of humanity individual it would had been a great night. I wouldn't be returning or endorsing this business...

A Culinary Gem with Spectacular Flavors – Service Needs Improvement We recently visited Casa España Tapas y Vinos for the first time, and while our experience had some ups and downs, the food was nothing short of extraordinary. We focused mainly on appetizers, and every dish we tried was a masterpiece of authenticity and flavor. The cod croquettes were perfectly crispy on the outside and creamy inside, packed with rich, savory goodness. The fried chickpeas were an unexpected delight—crispy, well-seasoned, and incredibly addictive. The seafood soup was warm, comforting, and full of depth, while the cod fish stuffed piquillo pepper was an absolute standout—delicate yet bold, perfectly balanced in taste and texture. You can tell each dish is crafted with extraordinary care and mastery. Unfortunately, the service from our server was the complete opposite of the kitchen’s excellence. Since we didn’t order paella—which must be requested at the beginning due to its cooking time—our server assumed we wouldn’t be ordering anything else and simply forgot about us. We had to ask another server just to get drink refills. When we finally got his attention to place our main course order, his attitude was shockingly rude and unprofessional, insisting that he had checked on us multiple times, which was simply not true. Rather than acknowledging the misunderstanding, he argued with us at the time of payment, never apologizing or taking any responsibility. Upon reading some of the reviews, we discovered we were not the first ones to be treated this way by this server. That being said, we refuse to let one server’s poor attitude take away from the brilliance of the chef and the kitchen staff, who clearly pour their heart and expertise into every dish. The food alone deserves a five-star rating, and we will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Next time, however, we will be sure to request a different server. Casa España Tapas y Vinos is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Spanish cuisine. Just be mindful of the service and choose your...
